Many cat toys require a human to be at the other end. These are some favourites that will keep cats occupied on their own:



- a shallow box (ie. shoe box) with paw-sized holes in it and filled with toys to fish out



- cat-nip marinated mice (make your own by storing them in ziplock bags with cat nip in them)



- sparkle, foil and bell-filled balls



- pipe cleaners twisted into "bugs"



- 18" wide duct hose to climb through



- paper bag or cardboard box with toys in it
