May 2004 After careful consideration, I have opted to remove all my Red Gold/Original Character fiction efforts from this website. These works are currently copyrighted by myself and it is my hope to work this mythology and some of the original characters into a novel of my own. To the readers who took the time to read and comment on any of my Red Gold pieces, thank you very much for all your encouragement and input! I am sorry I couldn't stick with the project for your sake on line, but this was absolutely necessary as other writers have been using nuances of my copyrighted material for "original" pieces of their own (NOT for readers' enjoyment but for professional publication.) In general, Original Character fiction is never as popular as mainstream/canon fan fiction so feedback for those stories always meant the most to me. I appreciate your reading and commenting, and I'm genuinely sorry if you feel kerked around by their remaining incomplete. If my health permits it, perhaps one day you'll see Red Gold in print. Early this morning, my dear friend, Kai, a truly gifted writer and poet who published Wesley/Drusilla fiction under the name "Fojiao2," passed away during surgical complications. This has been a year of extreme loss for me and it appears its ending is no exception. Dear Kai, you were a mentor, a friend and teacher who offered constructive criticism along with morale boosters in some of the most truly beautifully worded feedback and suggestions I've ever seen. My life and my writing are both the richer for your honest critique and while I don't believe in holding back a beautiful spirit from its next level of growth, I'd be lying if I said a year of your goodness was not enough. Sunday 28 December 2003 I finally had the change to post a truly remarkable Spike/Willow fic based upon one of my Dark Magick Challenges..."Fleurs de Mal" (NC-17 for drug use, adult themes, and sexuality) is a well-researched fic written in fascinating style. It's a very personal regret of mine that I was not able to present this story to readers earlier but it has already earned several awards including my Dark Magick Rose award! If you're a Spike/Willow fan, love classical themes of poetry and literature, or enjoy a real story with your smut, this story is well worthy of your time! MONDAY 22 DECEMBER EVERYONE...I apologise for not updating in such a long time! To say that this has been a "rough year" doesn't even begin to cover it. Suffice it to say I've had a LOT of personal setbacks and disappointments that have made it very dificult for me to maintain this website properly. Please accept my apologies if you e-mailed me a fic feedback or if you submitted any fic to the site and I did not reply. I was overwhelmed at points and often ended up deleting my mailbox BEFORE I retrieved the files from it. Please feel free to submit again. "Repeat the Sounding Joy" (NC-17) won an award for "Best Buffy/Angel Fan Fiction" at the N.O.A. awards. Most exciting for me was when they also awarded "Deva" (NC-17) as the "Best AU Fiction." Links to these fics are on my personal fic page. 11 July 2003 "More Than a Woman" (NC-17) is my first (and probably only) attempt to write a song fic. This is part of my Red Gold/Babyverse crossover work and I actually wrote it several months ago and finally got the guts to post it on-line. It's mostly OC fic so mainstream fic lovers will not care for it. I think I did a nice job on the erotica, though. Don't forget I love feedback if you read it! = ) 20 June 2003 Sorry it's been so long since my last update. Real life gets in the way sometimes. I was delighted to see that several of my fan fiction pieces received several new awards this month. Surprisingly, my biggest winner is "Prowlers," (The Midnight Fever Awards: "Relationship/Character Fic"; Fancy Me Yours Awards: "Best Crossover Fic" and "Best Threesome--Runner-Up") a dark fic I've always had mixed feelings about. I also received the "Best NC-17 Author" from FMYA. "Repeat the Sounding Joy" won "Best Answer to a Challenge" and "What the Heart Wants" was "Best BDSM--Runner-Up" and "Best PWP--Runner-Up." BiNE!!! is a hobby I will never regret because it has helped me develop my own writing as well as interact with other writers and readers. &nsbp;God bless you all! I am currently working on my "Adrenaline" trilogy, specifically the second book, "Madame Royale." I am always interested in feedback if a reader has the time. "Adrenaline" is ultra-AU/AR fiction: the BtVS and AtS characters have more supporting roles than spotlight roles, so these stories are not for strictly canon fic lovers. I have to say I enjoy the freedom of working with original characters more and more. I think the writing I do here is definitely "fresher" and more original.
