Queen Beryl's Four Generals |

Nephlite Nephlite is the second of Beryl's major flunkies. He's handsome, charming, suave, and, as Queen Beryl once pointed out, arrogant. Nephlite isn't the properly subservient minion he ought to be, which makes Beryl VERY mad. His mission, and he chose to accept it, was to collect energy, find the Silver Imperium Crystal, and destroy the meddlesome Sailors. Surprised? You shouldn't be. This is standard material! Nephlite, in order to accomplish his mission objectives, took the human identity, Maxfeild Stanton, an affluent young businessman with a penchant for hot cars, "lemonade," designer clothes, and mansions. Nephlite has a thing for the "Power of the Stars," and with its help, he finds his targets for energy suction. Nephlite is branded as a traitor to Beryl by Zoicite, who wants his job, when it looks like he's in love with Molly Baker. Molly does her best to help her love, Maxfeild, find the Silver Imperium Crystal even when she knows he's e-vil. Molly is captured by three of Zoicite's youma and Nephlite fights them to save her. They escape to McKenna park, but Nephlite has been wounded by an energy-stealing thorn in his shoulder and dies (okay, who else here bawled their eyes out during this scene?) in Molly's arms after learning the true meanings of love, friendship, and chocolate parfaits. |

Jedite Jedite is the first of Beryl's major flunkies. He's cute, has a really (dare I say it) sexy voice (Loveline!), and is a MASTER OF DISGUISE AND ILLUSION. Unfortunately, he's got a nasty attitude and a goal to match: kill the Sailor Scouts, collect massive amounts of ENERGY (surprise, surprise), and take over the Earth for Queen Beryl. Jedite is arguably something of a coward, as he is (justifiably) deathly afraid of failing the all-high Beryl, and preferes to have less-than-intelligent youma fight his batlles. It is these not-so-bright youma that get Jedite inot trouble, as their cnstant failures when up against the Scouts reflect upon him. Thus, when Jedite reappears after a particularly strenuous and, of course, fruitless battle, Queen Beryl encases him in a crystal of Eternal Sleep. This was probably Beryl's second biggest mistake, as Jedite had learned of the true identities of Silor Moon, Sailor Mercury, and Sailor Mars. Now what if, when Queen Beryl died, the crystal surrounding Jedite disappeared? |

Zoicite Zoicite is the third of Beryl's major flunkies. She (who was actually a "he" in Japan) is vain, conniving, and impatient. During Nephlite's period of command, Zoicite pours the flattery and respect on Queen Beryl, to both win favor, and take down Nephlite. Zoicite's mission was to find the seven Rainbow Crystals, release the seven Shadow Warriors back into the Negaverse, and find the Silver Imperium Crystal. She's a dirty fighter, shooting crystal shards at our hero, Tuxedo Mask, when his back is turned, during the battle for the Imperium Crystal, for example. Zoicite and Malachite share a "special" relationship. Student-teacher gone too far, perhaps? Whatever the case, they are in love (enough), and when Zoicite tries to kill Tuxie against Beryl's wishes, Malachite pleads for Zoicite's life. He fails, however, and Zoicite dies in his arms (a very touching scene, actually). |

Malachite Malachite is the fourth of Beryl's generals (Ha. Betchya thought I was gonna say "flunkies" .). One might say Queen Beryl saved the best for last, as Malachite is the highest ranking of the generals. You can tell because he wears a cape. A very cool cape, I might add. Malachite was Zoicite's mentor and aside from that, they share a special bond, (Okay, you might be yelling at me to just call him her, or his, boyfriend. But many people attest to the fact that they are not in love. Well, it sure looks like it!) and tried to take the blame for her (his) failures just before Beryl killed her (him). Malachite was also instructed by Beryl to keep an eye on evil-Darien (*sniff* *sniff*), just in case he turned out to be loyal to the Scouts. Malachite resented evil-Darien's place at the Queen's right hand and tried to undermine his reputation. Evil-Darien, on the other hand, kept Malachite jumping b helping the Scouts out when Malachite used humans against them. One might say it was a case of psuedo-sibling rivalry. Or not. Malachite was also instructed to KILL THOSE MEDDLESOME SAILORS and GET THE SILVER IMPERIUM CRYSTAL. Malachite is tall, debonair, well-spoken, mature, confident, and cunning. (He also looks really cute when his eyes glow, the wind blows his hair, and he says that line about the Negaverse prevailing....) He thinks before he acts, playing against his enemies' weaknesses. In the end, though, he dies like all the others, when his attack is turned against him by the power of pink. |
