Darien is Tuxedo Mask, the protector of Sailor Moon and the other Scouts.  However, Darien was not aware of his identity at first (identity crisis!); he changed into and out of his Knight form automatically.  Darien was captured and brainwashed by Queen Beryl, and was only freed when Sailor Moon's love touched his heart.  *sigh*  After the fight with Queen Beryl, Darien forgets he is Tuxedo Mask, and his Scout-protecting subconsciousness manifests itself as the Moonlight Knight (who gives TERRIBLE and unnecessary speeches, but then again, when ARE speeches necessary?!?).  Where was I?  Oh yeah... Darien attends college at the Azabu Institute of Technology, and works part time at a movie studio, though once worked as a model.  When he was six, he was seriously injured in an automobile accident that killed both his parents and left him with amnesia (how awful!!!).  Either he was a very high-paid model, or, more likely, he inherited a large sum from his parents, as he owns a car, a motorcycle, and lives in a large, top-floor apartment with a really-big-screen TV.  Darien's heart belongs to Serena, *sigh... again*, and the once insulting "Meatball Head"  has turned into an affectionate nickname. Darien is the reincarnated Prince of Earth, and is destined to rule 30th Century Crystal Tokyo with his beloved Neo-Queen Serenity.
