35. THE PHYSICAL CONFIRMATION!

 

Shri M.S. Dixit in his teens was cured of Migraine by Shirdi Sai through the application of 'udi'. Later his bleeding piles were got rid of by a prescription of udi this time through a dream. In 19 5 9, while at Mangalore, Dixit had a dream in which he saw a strange figure pouring ash over his head. A few days later, he saw a picture of Sathya Sai, which was the strange figure of his dream. His first darshans of Sathya Sai were at Prasanthi Nilayam during the Sivarathri celebra­tions of 1961, the form before his eyes was the one of his aforesaid dream. However, the devout allegiance to the Shirdi Form did not permit Dixit's mind to conceptualize the identity. He questioned within himself that the coloured silks, feminine hairdo, would fit into the appear­ance of a film star, rather than his revered Baba of Shirdi. The same evening, Dixit witnessed the grand miracle of 'Vibuthi abhishekam' and also the emergence of nine 'Lingas' from the body of Baba. Following this great event, in a discourse Baba said, "Some who have come here think I am too much like a film star, they object to My bright coloured robes and style of my hair." Three months later, during an interview, Baba took from Dixit's hand a small photograph and said, "That's H.S. Dixit, your uncle, your father's elder brother and My devotee at Shirdi. Now have you any more doubts? ". This gave to Dixit the physical confirmation that he had sought. Later M.S. Dixit has had a number of practical experiences confirming the oneness of the two Sais. To mention a few, he found an exact sameness in their Siddhic powers and Upadesha. He states that there is no difference at all in their gesture of writing something in the air and other mannerisms. He goes on to say that he finds a striking resemblance even in their smiles.
