63. SPOT-LIGHTS!

 

1. In the pages so far written in this booklet, the field of the 'legend of the two Sais', has been illumined, with many a 'bulb' of high wattage. There are yet a number of 'Spot-lights', which may focus attention, on a few more yet unexplored areas of the vast and unfathomable expanse of Divinity, epitomised in these two incarnations. Let us see some more of these focal points. The following is an account, from an article published in the July 1965 issue of 'Sanathana Sarathi' under the heading 'Magnificient Week in Maharashtra'. Shri N. Kasturi writes:  On the 10th and 11th (July), Baba was busy at His Residence, meeting Ministers, and other leading citizens of Bombay. The Religious Heads of many Sects and Faiths met Him and drew inspiration from Him. Swami Sai Saranananda, who was for many years at Shirdi, in the Holy Company of Sai Baba, spent some time with Baba. He is now among those working for the Inauguration of the Saurashtra Branch of the Prasanti Vidwanmahasabha, for, as he writes: "I feel I am in duty bound to render such service to Him, as I can, in the great task which Sri Sai Baba likes. I take Sri Sathya Sai Baba as the duly constituted attorney appointed by Shirdi Sai for this purpose and so, he is an object of my love, admiration and reverence".

 

2.  Shri M.S. Dikshit is another 'beacon of light', who navigates us all to another landmark of the conformity and concourse of the two Sais. In an article, under the heading 'THE SAME SMILE' published in the Souvenir ' AT THE LOTUS FEET', Shri M.S. Dikshit writes:- "(During the interview) Baba came to me and taking a photo I had with me, He said, "I know him he is Kaka Dikshit, your uncle, your father's elder brother. Have you any doubt?" I replied, "No" Then He smiled and said, "I am always with you, leave everything to Me. I will look after you, do not worry".

 

From that moment, Bhagavan has been foster­ing me, as Sai Baba did, for, He is Baba Himself come again. He gives me the same smile and the same care, and attention. He is really Sai Natha He has eliminated my diabetes, saved me from heart attack, and protected me from oper­ations. He blesses and showers His Grace on all who adore Him. I have not the slightest doubt in my mind that Sadguru Sai Baba of Shirdi has taken birth in the person of Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba”.
