NASA is the one responsible to make the dreams possible.. The man landing on the moon. From there it has achieved lot of missions. Till date the mission mars. To name some of the missions the :

SPACE SHUTTLE:

The space shuttle zips away into the space by over coming the Gravitational pull of the earth. .The man would have never been successful without the Space shuttle. There is lot of sophistication in this God machine .This is the only machine that can take you the haven "i mean space!! ". The main, important and dangerous task for the space shuttle is when it comes back from space to earth. As, the shuttle starts entering to the atmospheres of the earth in very high speeds there is tremendous heat generated due to friction. Nothing can withstand the heat. The space shuttle enters the atmosphere with the careful maneuver of the vehicle with Air thrusters into the atmosphere with right angel, so that the nose of the shuttle which is covered with special ceramic material. This helps the shuttle to avoid from burning out into ashes..!

ASTRONAUT:

A child dreams about going out into the mysterious and unknown places in the space, and for that u have to be a Astronaut. Being is an astronaut is a dream for me. But, in the harsh environment of space the temperatures are souring on the one side were the sun is there and chilling cold temperatures on the other side of the astronauts body due to the cold dark space. As we all are protected on earth due to atmosphere from the suns deadly Rays of X-rays, Gamma Ray, Microwaves and radio waves. The astronaut is protected with a the pressurized space suit. Without this spacesuit which is seven to eight layered materials it protects the astronaut in the space. If the air thruster aren't working in the middle of the mission then there is a chance of getting lost the vacuums of space. Always a rope or something should be tied between the Space shuttle and the astronauts. Even a small nut or a piece of stone travelling at the speed of 80,000 kms/hr in the hollow vacuums of space and hits the Astronaut then the pressurized suit would soon let goes off all the air out and the astronaut instantly freezes and dies. These are the dangers faced by the astronaut.

SETI :

Search for extra terrestrial intelligence was originally started by NASA for the purpose of search of aliens. They believed that if aliens existed and if they are intelligent .They would have invented the Radio technology and broadcast information in that. So SETI has huge the size of 10 football grounds size Radio Telescope with Billions of channels tuned and Scanning the skies are any transmission from outside space. Once if we receive the Signal then there will be having proof that aliens exit. It might take lot of time if the radio signal is transmitted by aliens as the Distances between stars and Galaxies are in some 100 to millions of light years away. So, NASA gave up..Now SETI is running by a private organization with support of the people world wide. And Companies like SUN Microsystems, Net applications fund this organization. Mission to Mars:

As the present mission is the mission to Mars. Scientists believe that our neighboring planet Mars is ideal for building human colonies. As, there are signs of water under ground of mars. Spirit (Rover sent to mars)has sent its first images to earth in the year 2003. Still the red planet is to be explored.
