So 1973.The year I was born, or to put it nicely the
day I started to die. It seems a funny thing to say but Its more a true
fact than anything.
So to give the world an insight
into my life so far.... Born on the 30 th June 1973 in Emsworth in the
county of Hampshire in England. I popped out literally into the world (great
catch dad!). My early years were spent in Leigh Park, the largest council
estate in europe at that time. This area was also one of the roughest in
the U.K.
I then moved in 1979 to the city of Portsmouth.
The place I still call home. We moved to the area called Cosham. My future
was being formed. At that time the Conservative Party gained power in the
U.K. The old dockyards in Portsmouth started to be closed down..Things
started to go downhill. The shift from working class people to poverty
had begun. The city has never really recovered. In late 1996 my mum died,
when she died she had so little. The hopes of people in 1973 had been shattered.
Our young generation who have so little have a chance to change that. We
have a new hope in our country, A driving force not unlike J.F.K in America.
His name is Tony Blair. The future starts now! 1997 read 1973 the time
has come!
