BRAWL
Brawl were a great hardcore band from New Ross, Co.Wexford
, who evenually moved to Cork before they broke up. They released a demo 'Barney' in 1993, thats when I interviewed them(bloody worst interview that ever appeared in the zine!).
Their then bass player Alan took the piss and answered the questions in 1995. After that they went on to release an lp on Genet records
and after a line up change, a good friend of mine Dave and Keri from Cork joined and they went on to do a cd for Allied recordings and two more european tours.

The photo above is taken in McCabes in Cork, in 1998 when Brawl got back together to play there last gig at the "Hardcore Holocaust" all dayer.
Protest: When did the band form? In any previous bands?

What do you think of, crusties, grunge, Naplam Death, Punk rockers, fanzines, the venue
your playing tonight(the village) and the Irish music scene at present?
A/ Crusties - I always cut'em off me toast first, cut 'em into neat triangles and dip 'em in me egg
p.s. Benjy, 27, lives with his ma.
B/ Grunge - Punk as feic
C/ Naplam Death - who? musn't grumble
D/ Punk rockers - Stay home read a book - straight edgers on drugs.
E/ Fanzines - A good imaginative read with a good cross-section of ideas, opinions and questions- Anyone for animal rights(Irish zines are best)
F/ Venue tonight - silent night - a good solid base, springy mattress and fluffy pillows.
G/ Irish music scene at present- Huasipungo as gaelige mas e do thoille
Do you get by playing gigs around Ireland or do you lose money like a lot of hardcore bands?
Its hell out there in the combat zone-this time his doing it for himself- neighborhood watch.
