Well CHAOS U.K.are a band I've being into for absolute years,from there early noisey stuff,to there now more punk rock type stuff;the interview was done by Marvin Ramraider in 1994: Judging by the cover-version of'police story'.'on the split with Raw Noise ,ye're still into the eariley '80's punk,What other stuff do ye listen to? Well,for starters,how can you ever be out of early 80's punk ehTNever ferget it kidz.As to what the band listen to- Well extremely varied-Hendrix,Discharge Who,Orb,Pistols,Scorn,Chilli Peppers,& fore mostly the Wurzezs. I heard Gabba got stuck in the U.S.A.& did a few one off gigs with"NAUSEA';as "CHAOS U.S.A'.' & came back with a member of Nausea to join Choas u.k.is there truth in this?Whats the line-up at p present ? Well,this rumour is in fact the truth What happened was that V.D lost a poker game to Gabba,so he won the rites to his life & was therefore property of Choas u.k.He is now kept in the cellar & is regularly beaten.Also,due to ill health Beki has had to leave-so present line up is,Choas-vocals,Hou8eBoat. Sir Gabba 4 cox-guitars/vocals-Cal hair cut.Devilman-drums-remote control car. V.D Boiler-guitars/vocals-yellow van. RamRaider-bass-conspiracy plots. Yes,V.D. used to be in that fchrash- Reggae.RAve band Nausea,Also Reagan Youth.Devil man was in the Sun Tribe & RamRaider was in prison before he joined as part of his community Re_^habiltation scheme. Whats Bristol like these days do Disorder come back much to play,Are there any good new bands likezines etc happening? Well Bristol is still 47 miles East of Cardiff & is welcome to stay there-(only kidding)its also 2,000 miles east of New York-so practising is a bit difficult'cos V.D. Boiler lives there. Last I heared of DISORDER was they were working on a Croatian fish farm-but still come for easter & xmas to visit their mummies. Recomended listening from Bristol-PDefinately the superb'screamer' (licfic) & those noize gods'Maggot Slayer Overdrive'not forgetting the abismal'Bob Gregory Quartet^a sad punk rock revival band MONGREL PRODUCTIONS present. Since ye've been going now for such a long time,have you noticed much change in your audience & in the general punk scenePWhat do you think is the best thing ye've done since ye've being going? Well,I've just joined the band so I can't comment,although I've been into the punkthang for far too long-one day I'm sure I'll grow out of it.I think the Choas uk audiences are getting progressively more retarded.But on the whole crowdz are shrinking-so c'mon kidz- fuck the mainstream,dig out yer docs'n'spike ya hair-y'know it makes sense. What did yeu think of"E,N.T"on the musicaward with"K.L.F"do you think they got a good message across,would you do the same if you got the chance ? Well,firstly-I think ENT doing the pop-awards was quite amusing-sort of sex pistols shock- ing the mainstream thing I suppose but as for getting messages across-well the only message I've personally got off 'em is"urrgh arrgh urrgh"-& I've got millions of hardcore record 's.So ya average blokey isn't going to be able to make fuck all but'cept a bunch of dirty punx shootin'machineguns.I think more would be achieved if E.N.T fans started listening to K.L.F cos they've got good shit to say believe it or not-quite anarchistic if ya listen to 'em Where & what are ye up to since ye left Eire WE11,since leaving Ireland Choas uk hava released the 12"mini Ip they recorded there ("100°o 2 fingers in the air punk rock"- available from us). We've just completed a 2 month tour of the states-recorded a new 7" which is out soon.We've also got wads lined-up-Japanese, Mexican & European tours All at this moment being worked out.So the cirus will be pullinc into your neck of the woods soon kiddies!!!!
