Disorder are known by most people reading this so, theres no need really for an introduction. This interview was done by Taff in 1989.

Would you do a session john peel?
Yes I would like to, then more people would hear our music and we might even get paid cos more people would buy our records.

What is the scene like in Norway?
There are a few places around the country where bands can play at places which are run by punks on a non profit making basis. In Horten and in Trondheim there are some good places and they get help off the local counciland businesses. In Oslo there is a place called 'Blitz' which is a self managed youth house run by young people. It used to be supported by Oslo council but now they want to close it down the place and build luxury appartments so it is occupied(squatted) now. We (local punks) get a lot of harrasement by the police because of our stand over the 'blitz' house,. We have been labeled by the local news papers as 'the blitz gang' which is laughable. Also the house has been the target of a fire bomb attack by neo-nazis who threw 3 petrol bombs into the second floor at a concert when 200 people were there no one was seriously hurt but a friend of mine had to go to hopital for smoke poisioning they had to give him oxygen. Anyone who wants further info on Blitz contact, Smorsyra, kafe blitz, Pilestredet 300, Oslo, Norway. Letters of support are always welcom, we need international solidary in the fight to save 'Blitz' Theres lots of bands here and independant record labels and the straight music media seem quite open to hardcore bands.

Do you take part in direct action, Hunt sabbing, demos etc?
Yes I go to demonstrations if I feel its worth while and will it change anything like against south african apartheid. I think you casn achieve alot by demonstratading because it makes the people in control think again about their decisions.

How did the band start?
Just by some friends deciding to start a band out of bordom, unemployment etc.

How come Boobs isn't in Disorder anymore?
Cos he left.

What do you make of punk fashion, as no one seems to like anymore?
I still dye my hair and that. I reckon it looks good people with loads of studs and mochains and nose ringsetc. Its better than looking like trendy.

Is it easy to make records, do gigs in Norway?
There are not so many places to play in Norway and the distance between the towns where they have gigs is so great that it is quite difficult to tour in Norway. There are a few independant record companies and I think most bands who want to put out a record usually manage it.

Were you pleased with 'violent world' any plans for more releases?
We were quite pleased with it but I think it should be more bass drum on it. We're talking about recording again soon maybe a 7 inch record or an lp or both I don't know.
