1. Could you give a brief background about the band? how long ye've beeing going what you have released etc.? The formation of Distrust began in1999. In 2000, Distrust released a 'Price Of Peace' demo. In the same year too, Distrust released 2 split tapes with Indonesian bands, Dislike and Dischord. After a few gigs and line up changes, Distrust released a full length tape in 2005 called 'World Of Tomorrow' under Azadghei Records. 2. What is Singapore like scene wise, is there just loads of d-beat and crust bands? Is it hard to get your music released over there? Is there many gigs, actions etc? It is a pretty good scene here in Singapore. A lot of new bands have emerged very rapidly. It is good to see d-beat and crust bands getting involved and becoming active in the scene. Thanx to a few labels like Azadghei Records and Recharge Label, we have been able to circulate our stuffs easily. There has been a rising number of local gigs featuring d-beat and crust bands. Hopefully through these gigs, the bands will be able to liven up the scene. 3. Have you gotten the chance to tour outside of the country? Yes. Distrust played in Kulai, Malaysia in 2000. In 2005 Distrust got the chance to play in in Kuala Lumpur. There has been offers for us to play in Indonesia but due to our hectic schedule, we haven't found the time to play there. But we will be looking forward to play more gigs from Indonesia and probably somewhere else. 4. Anything you'd like to add, future plans for Distrust? Expect more releases from Distrust. Most of them will be split releases with Singaporean bands. And also look out for a 4-way split cd with Singaporean band, Blinded Humanity, Indon's Peace Or Annihilation and Disconsent.
