EOM released a great album some years back called "Baptised in Shit", it was a corker. Didn't hear anymore of their stuff until recently and they haven't mellowed at all, just as heavy. Their guitarist Scoot anwered the questions.

How did the recent tour of Europe go? Many problems with the van? What did you think of the k-town festival?
It was great when we finally got there-we missed the first 2 gigs coz the cambelt went on the van which was a downer. Croatia, Italy were great, in fact all the gigs were great Poland & Switzerland were pretty dissapointing for various reasons. K-town was a great experiance, perfect organisation & met alot of old & new faces, playing after was a very daunting experience but they were bloody brill!

How did the tour go with Misery, judging by the tour video they released, was it a very drunken drug crazed tour? Do you find the crowds different than in Europe?
Haha they released a video of that??? i have to see it (or maybe not ha). We did 2 tours with them of the USA, West Coast in 2000 & East Coast in 2001. We had a fuckin amazing time but touring with Misery is a great experience. It was very drunker I dont remember much drug abuse - drugs are bad m'kay! Regarding the crowds I dunno its all the same init a room full (or half full - or damn near empty haha) of crusty punkers havin a good night. I felt bad for the under 21 kids in the USA as 2 gigs were for over 21s the legal boozing age there so they had to hang outside. But being able to play these gigs its a top feeling be it in Europe or the USA.

Do you think after appearing in "Terrorizer Magazine", more people have come to your gigs? What do you think of the mag?
Not that I'm aware of - Ive had responses off mates but thats it. I think Terrorizer is good if ya into metal i'm glad Ian & Nathen work for them they open the door for alot of other bands that maybe wouldnt be heard-but regarding all that black metal stuff it doesnt interest me at all!

You released your latest cd yourselves, do you find you'll make your money back that way, or do you think it's easier when someone else releases it for you?
A bit of both-seriously we haven't seen any profit but also with the van breaking down that cost us £1000 & that stuffed up making any expenses there! Obviously its appreciative that someone wants to release ya recording but can also be frustrating when a label doesnt keep you informed w whats going on!

How's the new album selling? Were you the first band to record in the 1 in 12 studio? Was it a conscious decision to get Bri Doom for the recording because of his past experience?
The cd has done good we have shifted approx 800 copies. Profane Existence did the vinyl, a few bands recorded ait 1in12 before us, The Devils, Burn All Flags etc Bri actually did surpass any expectations I had, but we kept telling him what we were after & fair play to him he did a bloody good job didnt he! I am really proud of that lp even tho its a tad too metally in places & regarding his past experience? I dunno what ya mean ;-)

Future plans for Extinction of Mankind?
We take things a step at a time-we aint getting any younger mate my dream is to play Japan but we'll see. I'm always gratefull to be able to do any gigs, maybe see if it takes less than 8 years to do another full length lp haha.
