Graduation ceremony
Set for April 27, Friday evening at the Westview Pizza which is large enough to accommodate 30 people. Pizza will be provided by PRPS, drinks will be self-helped.
Carl has received 21 certificates where 20 people wrote and passed the exam.
Carl to ask Ron to order another 19 flags in addition to the 2 that he has.
Carl will notify all the students to attend the ceremony.
Possible speaker or presentation.
Carl will decide if to invite the Island Squadron executives to attend the ceremony.
Hebert ot speak to Chris Rodden about inviting a rep from Copper Yachting to do a talk.
Boat-Pro
Jim is holding another exam on Mar 21 at 7pm in Brooks school.
Supply
Carl has ordered and received another 15 instructors' manuals at $6/each.
Boating course
Forest workers are running crew boats and are required to have some kind of certification as a WCB requirement. Their rep has contacted Carl about offering the boating course during a mutli-day session in the daytime. In the past similar course was offered and instructors were brought in from the Island to conduct the course as our instructors are working during the day. The Forestry rep will inquire if WCB will accept the boating course as an industry certification.
Training
Jim suggested that the Training officer can use an assistant. (Lane Large a possiblity)
Jim suggested a BC Ferry bridge and engine room tour can be offered to PRPS members, Carl to contact BC Ferry head office to arrange.
Nomination
Hebert was elected as the nomination officer. Possible new candidates: Dave Dicks, Behan, Lane Large.
