The new Bridge for 2002/2003: Carl - commander Mark - executive commander Ron - supply Carl - training officer with Bob McCartney as training officer in training Brad - assistant training officer Laura Behan - public relations officer Jeff - secretary Dave - treasurer/membership
Carl will send the list of executives to headquarter.
Dave moves that the membership of executives be paid for by the squadron, Jeff seconds. Dave reports that the finance spreadsheet is balance between the bank balance and the income/expense book, first time in 5 years. The current bank balance is about $4,000. Tony Smith will be doing the annual audit.
Tony Smith proposed that the piloting course be organized for the coming year. The Department of Education is offering a credited course in the high school for grade 11 students. Boating course in the fall and the piloting course in the spring. It is agreed that the squadron will pursue this further. Michael Smith, Tony Smith and John Treen are potential instructors. Carl will phone Don Hurd for a copy of the piloting course manual.
There is a District Training Officers meeting in Courtenay this Sunday. Carl and Bob will travel over there to meet with the offer officers and familiarize.
Dave proposes that the BBQ will be organized this summer again. A get together for the instructors and the executives, also to plan for the course next year.
Carl will order PRPS vests for the new executives - Bob, Brad, Laura and Mark.
The next meetings will be - a short meeting in May, another one on July 13.
