She was born on the first day of spring and is the middle child of her family. For the first five years of her life it was a fight for survival as with most of her kind it is. Since children were not generally expected to live past the age of five, their bodies grow quickly and they have to learn how to speak and walk by the first year of their life.
Since she is a butterfly fairy, and butterflies don't usually live long, neither will she. By the age of 40 her body will die as with everyone else of her kind. The desire to have the race survive is imminant, then every year the males and females pair off during the winter. By the first day of spring the females have their children.
Already La'Fae has had about 15 children that were left behind when she wandered off due to the fact she didn't have a mate for this year. Because of this she was captured and brought into slavery. Before she even arrived at the Castle she had mated and was pregnant. Demetri wasn't pleased about this though and destroyed the unborn child. Her frantic desire to keep her race surviving lead her to mate with Demetri.
For the past couple of month's she has been caring for their son. The child isn't growing as quickly as the others of her race would so La'Fae has been given a handful to take care of.
