<<Once
upon a time, there was a little girl called Karen. Well she
had no parents,
and was just 10 years old. Her dream from all life had
always been becoming
a dancer, and she danced alone with her dolls in
her room where
she lived with her uncle Peter.
Peter was poor,
but he was happy, because the only family he had was
Karen, and he knew
of her wishes when grown up. However, he couldn`t afford
an academy for
her, because they almost didn't hqve enough money to eat.
This story takes
place in a little village in Carpatos mountains, not too far from
Transylvania, in
Rumania, XIX century.
Bucharest was the
capital of dance in the whole country, but Peter
was a farmer, and
depended on his tomatoes to live, sending them in the
town of Dobrudga
(10 miles away from the little unknown village where he
lived with Karen).
One stormy night,
Karen heard a noise, and almost fell out of bed
because of the
shock. It was like the noise of a cobra before
bitting...but then
it seemed to be turning into an evil young smile...coming
from the ceiling.
- "How is it possible...?"
-Karen couldn`t go on speaking, and felt a
hairy hand covering
her mouth, then she became more and more relaxed...to finish by
falling into a
deep sleep.
- Where am I? -she
said, after reopening her eyes, a lot of time had
passed....more
time than she had imagined. This room was bigger than
hers, more majestic,
I`d say. Yeah, there were awesome curtains
covering those
big windows that were no longer wet from the storm. The bed was even
bigger, but Karen
no longer felt like sleeping.
Suddenly, she felt
some pain on her neck. She had a wound -two holes.
Someone had given
it to her. A vampire?" -she wondered to herself.
One thing was sure.
Her little body was naked, and the windows were
open...Some wind
had woken her up...But she felt no cold at all, though
it was many degrees
below zero outside.
Karen felt like
going out....and suddenly, she fell down from the
window...but she
didn`t fall at all. She was flying!! What!!" She
couldn`t believe
it but she was flying through the clear night with
stars there. The
soil wasn`t wet at all. Where was she?
But inside her
mind, some strange voice told her, repeatedly to come
back: What was
that? Well, she felt like obeying that voice and going
back from her flight
to the same window she left some minutes before.
- Welcome to my
castle, little girl!"-said a young 20 year old boy.
* Who are you?
-asked the little confused girl. "I am the same thing
as you. You are
vampire now, but don`t worry...your uncle is here
downstairs too".
Chapter
2: The Coffin
* "Downstairs?
Gotta see him and talk to him...!
- No way.....he`s
dead.
* What? Who...?
-Karen got really shocked, but the sensation left
quickly, as if
she didn`t consider the matter that important.
- Nevermind, he
opposed to Zyro bringing you here, and Zyro had to
kill him. He could
turn him into a vampire, but 1 day has passed and his
blood is pretty
dead.
* Zyro? That thing
with hairy hands? Can I see the body?
- Keep calm. Zyro
is the stupid guardian of the Lord. As for the
body, let me show
it to you, come. By the way, you`re talking to Gisha.
I`am the only creature
belonging to the Lord, my father... Draxus
-explained Gisha,
while getting out of the room, to a dark passage with
small torches hanged
on white marble walls.
* I see, my name...
- Karen, I know.
I was taught to guess all from human`s mind. Now
that you`re a vampire,
I can`t, but I followed you from months.
* Why?
- My dad will tell
you later -said the boy quickly...just coming to a
big room full of
luxurious chairs, lamps, curtains and a big Persian
carpet. Peter`s
body was lying on a big table. No more people were
there.
- It`s dawning
outside, and my dad will come back soon. Where you
are is at Markus
castle.
* What`s that?
- Your dad never
told you about it. Drobudga`s inhabitants hardly
approach here.
They all know that my dad is here, and the Lord is
respected. We`re
hidden among Carpatos mountains, in a very difficult
place to reach
if not flying.
* So what I did
before was flying?
- Yeah, and you`re
lucky that you`re young, cause you learn fast by
your self and you
don`t need human`s blood to survive like us.
* Blood? Puuuuaagghh!!
- Yes, look at
you dad for a while...look at his blood -Karen had
always hated seeing
blood, even fainting sometimes when his uncle came
from hunting.
* Can`t understand
why, but I feel hungry seeing that blood, Gisha.
- It`s normal,
but animal blood is what your need from now. Some
time must pass
till you get to have humans blood. Don`t do it by now,
cause it can be
dangerous for you, since your body is getting used to
immortality.
* What? -all doubts
Karen had were solved in the next minutes. She
felt no pitty at
all for her uncle, and that kind of stranged her, but
all had changed
in her lately. She had a bit bigger nails. She also had
light-sensible
eyes. She felt no cold or heat, and more quick-thinker
for all. She learned
fast, and her instinct told her to go resting when
day light came.
- (...) Here`s
your coffin, Karen -Gisha showed her a big marble
box, covered by
a red comfortable matt inside.
* Thanks. You`re
nice to me, Gisha. Can`t understand it, but thanks.
- Tonight is gonna
be special. It`s the Vampire Dance, organised by
my dad. Lots of
vampires from all the places in the world will come.
* I see. Is it
more vampires in this castle?
- Yes. But those
are all slaves of the Lord, and they sleep
downstairs. See
you in the dance, good day -said the boy. When Karen
turned her head
for a while, and then back to Gisha, nobody was there.
Chapter
3: Somewhere in France
Around
11 PM, the night had covered Rumania, 5 hours
before. The
forests became
suddenly dark and sinister. Impossible to guess where the
paths in there
drove to. But some shadows came up and the Carpatos were
not more sparkly
thanks to moon light, cause of some dense clouds obeying
the dramatic movement
of such shadows. But where are they going? Easy:
to Markus castle...a
big one, but well hidden between some mountains
impossible to reach
walking. Even the best climber would fail her/his
attempt on reaching
that strange top of the mountain where this castle
was situated. And
there was a dance there. So lots of shadows and
vampires from the
faraway regions or countries in the world got there in
time.
Five centuries before,
Lord Draxus was born from the Devil, and
all vampires in
the world owed their existence to him. And a dance was
there for the ones
wishing to come to thank to the Lord about it, or
devastate the regions
looking for fresh blood while getting to the
castle. And midnight
came...
* Wow, I slept
better than ever! -thought Karen while waking up from
darkness. Being
a vampire made her feeling no more cold or hot. And when
she turned back
to the door of that room...
- Hello there!
* Ouch, what a
flash!! -said Karen, surprised that Gisha was there.
- I guess you slept
really well. Ready for the dance? The fact is
that I ignore completely
like what vampires will come tonight. There are
some evil...
*...and some good,
I guess:) -said Karen smiley. She felt like
belonging to the
vampire race from centuries, and the naturality in her
voice showed kind
of that.
But once both got
to the main room, about 100 people (creatures -better
said) just stared
at them:
+ Mmmmm, the youth
smells strong today!! -said a lost voice from the
bottom...followed
by sinister laughs from the bottom.
+ Let me present
to you, my guests tonight, my son Gisha, and my daughter Karen -said a
more powerful voice
coming from up in that big room.
* What? -cried
Karen, all surprised about her new ‘family’.
- My father Draxus
welcomes you Karen -said a smiley Gisha.
After presentations,
a vampire orchestra started playing soft
melodies...becoming
more and more odd as night went darker outside, and
more mysterious
inside.
- Envy is a common
thing among vampires, you should know it, little
Karen -said Gisha
in a low voice while dancing while Karen among the
creatures there,
all of them mixed.
* Well, let`s enjoy
the night and then we`ll eat something -replied
Karen.
- Eating? Forget
what you are? But probably your instinct is bloody
hungry. However,
in the first months, you shouldn`t taste human`s blood,
I warn you.
* But how come?
-Karen felt special herself suddenly.
- Well, I never
told you, but there`s a big risk when doing that of
becoming evil and
saddic enough in your case, cause you`re a
young-forever vampire,
and animal blood is what your dry-body (like
hungry-body in
a vampire`s case) needs.
* I see.
In a moment, Gisha
got alarmed, cause his instinct feel something
wrong to happen.
The few flashlights in the room went off, and a cry
was heard close
to Gisha.
- Kaaaaaaaaaaaaaren!!
-cried Gisha hopelessly.
Even with low visibility,
Gisha`s eyes could clearly see the little girl
being kidnapped
by some of the creatures there. She looked like asleep,
and taken by a
group of evil vampires, not from the region. They all
escaped, and some
other tried to avoid Gisha pursuing them. Gisha,
helped by Draxus
-the Lord- got to cut the heads of them all with his
sword -once a vampire`s
head gets cut, a deep cry follow that and fire
devours the body
till making it turning into ashes. Only nice vampires
-in number of 60
ones- rested there, shocked as well as Gisha.
+ Son of mine come
here -said the Lord while ordering to some
guardians retiring
the cut heads. The silence was there permanently.
+ My contacts abroad
will inform me telepathically about Karen`s
destination -said
Draxus to a worried son there.
- I hope so. They
all will pay the for this offense, Father.
Tomorrow night,
once I know about her destination, I`ll go after her.
The dance lasted
very little time more. Then a little
thanks-ceremony
came, but all became a bunch of worries about the facts
concerning the
poor Karen and those raptors.
Next night came...and
before getting up from his coffin, Gisha`s
dad`s voice told
him that Karen was prisoner, and still alive, somewhere
in France...
Final
chapter: A question of telepathy
Some
strange forces went through the dark forests
of Germany. What
kind of creature
is able to fly 200 mph, apart from an eagle? Karen
slept deeply, feeling
the air of such speed...and evil smiles from time
to time. About
2 hours ago, Notre Dame’s bells were ringing and a bright
sun was about to
arise. Paris was foggy then, and nobody saw those
creatures coming
down through the underground.
Somewhere 600 miles
away, Gisha decided he would wait for 24 more
hours, because
he risked to face the light and dying under that. He wasn’t
able to fly fast
enough to get reference of the raptors. So he waited
next night to come,
once the Lord Draxus got the right references from
his contacts abroad,
about the place where Karen was. One thing was
sure: Draxus knew,
as well as his son, that Karen was still alive.
Midnight came soon.
Gisha was in love with Karen. Did love really
exist among vampires?
Gisha felt like shivering several times every time
Karen smiled at
him. It was a special sensation, and he had been able
to sleep off till
the bells of the castle ringed 12 times once more.
It was time to
go. Draxus told him that some evil forces (more evil
than never before)
had been detected somewhere in Paris. Gisha had no
telepathy conditions
to guess any further. He had to find those vampires in
Paris...and he
should really hurry up, because he felt Karen`s way weaker.
She hadn`t eaten
since 2 days.
(...) Hours passed
by, and Gisha reached Brussels around 7 AM.
In the Waterloo’s
woods –exactly at Braine l’Alleud, he found a
cave...and the
guardian of the woods was his supper that night. So he felt
stronger then...ready
to sleep...and happy because of Karen still alive.
During that all,
Karen had opened her eyes and she felt herself in a 5
meters sided room.
It was dark in there. Suddenly she felt a hit on her
face, while turning
it. She fell off and nobody was there when
back up...Just
a strange low voice saying: "some hours left for you to
die...ha, ha, ha".
"Whatever", she
thought indifferently. She was hungry, and some rats
coming into the
cell were her dish that night...some minutes before Gisha
got to Braine l’Alleud.
Hours later,
Gisha was already walking through the Louvre
gardens. Draxus
had told him to go visit a loyal friend of his living in
Montmartre’s area,
dans la rue des Roix Unis. And he was there some minutes
later...on the
third floor of a new building there, Hausmann style,
because this last
was a famous architect living and building a new Paris
by that time. Marius
Lacroix was the name of the vampire to visit up
there. He knocked
twice on the door. But this one opened itself:
- Hi there? Bonsoir
là!!
No answer at all.
There was a window inside there through which he
had a look to the
lights of the torches sorrounding Le Sacré Coeur,
reigning over the
city majestically. Some painters were designing portraits
of the "bourgeois"
going to the theatre. Night had just began...and a
voice made him
suddenly shiver...
... Alors c`est
Gisha ton prenom?
- Yes.. Je veux
dire, "oui"!
* I do speak your
language. C`est justement l`habitude qui me fait
parler en anglais.
After a nice conversation,
Gisha was told about the vampires reigning in
the underground.
Some of them used to go to "Moulin Rouge" every Friday
night -to kidnap
some young ladies or kill them or whatever relying on-, and it
was just Friday
night that night. So no time to lose at all.
Gisha was told even
more about them: they were human-shaped, but they had a
signal -like this
"Ç"- behind their necks. Belonging to "Çavat" vampire
race...the only
one reigining down there.
So they both waved
good bye...and few moments later he was
buying his
ticket for the session that night at "Moulin Rouge"
...sur l`anphithéatre:),
cause he sucked the blood of a young lady
close to
Montmartre...stealing her some money and couple of binoculars.
‘Madame La Bouchère’
faisait le striptease that time. And all the
voices were excited.
Only men in there. And Gisha started looking all
around the theater...staring
fixely at every neck moving there.
- Common, COMMON!!
-whispered Gisha while trying to find carefully that
signal on the necks...
* Etouffé,
mon choux?
The only girl in
the theater was beside him!!!
- Yee...OUI! -she
was quite similar to Karen...but her fangs were longer
shaped and... she
got the "Ç" beside the neck!!: a vampire then...-the
right one.
* Première
fois ici? -said the girl.
- Biensûr,
et je trouve charmant ce lieu-ci -replied.
* Je m`appelle
Anne Karine, et vous?
The conversation
went on and they both went out of the theater,
talking in french
to each other. Gisha knew no french at all, but he could
perfectly read
other people’s minds, imitating the accent with perfection.
And he barely
knew already where Karen should be. The difficult thing was
to get rid of that
vampire, never suspecting him being a vampire. She
wasn`t that clever
then, but pretty attractive for Gisha, as she was
pretty close to
Karen`s shape.
However Gisha got
sort of shocked when he read Karine written on the
letterbox of the
"studio" where she was taking him. A whore-vampire?
-wondered Gisha
himself. But while read Karine, he realized that Karen
was really called
Karen Karine!!!!!! Sisters?
* Pardon?? -asked
Anne when hearing sisters.
- Non...rien! -replied
Gisha with a smile.
But Gisha didn’t
want to have sex with Karen`s sister. He needed her help.
She was "Çavat"
race but she “hated” it. She was kind...and Gisha told
her the truth about
his real identity and the links with Karen, etc.
- Je vois -said
Anne, who only spoke in french. When both girls were born,
somewhere in France,
one of them
was given away
and picked up by some Rumanian immigrants. The other one
had a different
life and came to Paris, where she got the "Çavat" signal
and a sad vampire
life that she hated. But she was alive, and ready for
helping Gisha.
So at Porte de
Clichy, the opened a hole in the ground somewhere in a
park and got down
into the dark underground parisien.
Some torches helped
the ways getting less dark. They had some special
dark coats -used
by "Ç" vampires- to avoid being recognized. They were
looking for Karen
somewhere...in a cell. And they would soon find it
cause...
* Ah, ha! Bonsoir
Gisha et mademoiselle!
- Marius????????
-said Gisha.
* What a little
world of coincidences, my friends -said Marius madly.
- Sure! -said Gisha
while Karen looked at him stranged, also because she
couldn`t understand
English.
* Tie them both
right now -that was Marius order, and Gisha`s face
was completely
confused.
- You traitor!!
-replied Gisha telling Marius off while being tied by
5 guardians, as
well as Anne.
(...) Karen!!!
What a great surprise! -said Gisha.
Anne and Gisha
found little Karen there...and the story of the
sisters could encourage
the weaker Karen. She had lost vampire aura
-which is the same
as losing kilos in human`s case. She got to
smile though.
* Soon I`ll be
executed under the sun light -said an anxious Karen.
- So all of us
-said Anne. Those vampires are extremely crazy. They can
kill you whenever.
The envy is what pushes them killing. They want power,
and they`re becoming
popular lately for that. Some citizens are really scared.
- Let me send a
telepathic message to my father -said Gisha, because it
was a power of
him only avaiable with his father to work.
So Gisha
was shut-minded during an hour or so (while the sisters talked
and talked...),
like doing yoga or kind of. And he started smiling after that:
? What then? -asked
both sisters at same time.
– Good news: my
father sent some loyal guardians to Paris.
Those have mind
powers...so they get to hypnotise people and use them
for the good. So
the plan is... And Gisha told them in details his
father’s plan:
Convincing all the Parisiens to take sticks and weapons
and getting inside
underground to kill all of the "Çavat" vampires… but us.
In fact, my dad`s
vampires are moving and already hypnotising
people. And I^m
sure people were already tired of these vampires killing
and killing. So
let`s just gain some time meanwhile...
Some noises and
cries were heard about 3 hours later. Our friends started
smelling of smoke
close. It was close to 5 AM, a brand new day coming, but it
was a dark rainy
day, so they still had like 2 hours to escape....
For a sudden, someone
opened the door...like with big eyes all of them
hypnotised, telling
them: you can goooooo! (kind of Neeeeeeeeeeaasden
sound!:))
And they left,
while watching lots of vampires die. They had to hurry up
because the daylight
was approaching...and the whole underground was
burning really
bad...It was impossible getting visibility back, but they got
out somewhere close
to Arc du Triomphe. Then they got on top of the Arc to
sleep there while
people fighting in the street against all kinds of
vampires. With
luck, nobody touched them. Before sleeping, Gisha “told” his
father all was
under control.
Around 12 hours
later, the night started bloody but peaceful. All of them
sucked blood and
got to fed their instincts, before leaving to Rumania. Anne decided
to join them and
Gisha told her to remain living at castle. Anne couldn`t
fly, so both, Gisha
and Karen, took her, and got in Rumania around 5
AM...leaving the
rain at Paris.
The legend tells
that Karen and Gisha were the first vampires in
getting married,
and a new generation started with "the good" as biggest
motto>>
THE END
