CHRIS: I just can't understand why Mom wanted me to change my hair back.

SALLY: I know. That seems to be a problem with you these days, you don't understand.

CHRIS: What is that suppose to mean?

SALLY: I mean, the way you had your hair fixed.

CHRIS: Didn't it look like Britney?

SALLY: Sort of. But is that what you really want, to look like a star.

CHRIS: She's really beautiful and has had her face on the front of many big magazines.

SALLY: Yes, I know. She has also been married several times and been arrested for drugs.

CHRIS: The magazine says she has the most exciting life in the world.

SALLY: Do you remember last summer when we were at the lake?

CHRIS: Yes, what about it?

SALLY: Remember how mom said the water really looked blue?

CHRIS: Yes, and it did too.

SALLY: But dad quickly corrected us and told us it wasn't really blue, that the lake was just reflecting the sky.

CHRIS: That's what he said.

SALLY: Then it clouded up and started to rain and we had to pack up quickly and head out. And just as we were leaving we looked back and the water wasn't blue anymore. It had turned gray.

CHRIS: That's right. Dad said it was the water reflecting the clouds.

SALLY: That's correct. It wasn't pretty anymore. The lake doesn't have a choice about what it reflects, but in our lives we can choose.

CHRIS: I bet you are referring to Britney.

SALLY: You catch on, don't you. Britney's life is gray compared to the beautiful life of Jesus.

CHRIS: I really should be reflecting Him, shouldn't I?

SALLY: We all should. How about you boys and girls? Is you life reflecting the beauty of Jesus. Compared to Him the life of a star, or ball player, or friend is gray. Reflect Jesus and His way of life, not that of someone else.

CHRIS: Thanks, Sally. I will try real hard. Bye boys and girls.
