PUPPET SCRIPT

"DAILY CARE NEEDED"
Psalm 25:1-10
PUPPETS: Grandma & Chris

GRANDMA: Hey, Chris. How's that plant I gave you doing?

    CHRIS: Not too good, Grandma.

GRANDMA: What seems to be the problem?

CHRIS: I don't know. The plant just doesn't look good.

GRANDMA: Has it got any buds yet?

CHRIS: No buds and the leaves are turning brown.

GRANDMA: Was that it I saw in your room this morning?

CHRIS: Yes, that was the plant.

GRANDMA: Chris, that plant was drowning.

CHRIS: What do you mean, drowning?

GRANDMA: It has been given too much water. Are you giving it a little each day like I told you?

CHRIS: Not exactly. You see I kind of got busy and it was a little boring so I would check on it every third day or so and then I would give it twice as much water.

GRANDMA: How would you like it if your mother forgot to fix dinner for about 3 days and when she remembered, she made you eat enough for all the meals she had forgotten?

CHRIS: I would not like it. I guess I'd get just as sick as my plant did.

GRANDMA: You are right. I noticed sitting beside the plant in your room was your Bible.

CHRIS: That's right. That is one thing I haven't forgotten, Grandma. When you gave it to me you told me to read it every day and that's what I have been doing.

GRANDMA: Well, I'm glad to see you're getting a regular diet of spiritual food.

CHRIS: How about you boys and girls? Do you forget to read your Bible, or even purposely neglect it, and then suddenly try to catch up by reading faster or more often?

GRANDMA: That's right Chris. It doesn't work well at all that way. The Bible is your spiritual food and you need some of it every day. Set up a regular schedule for Bible reading.

CHRIS: Doing that boys and girls means you'll see growth in your Christian life. See you later.

    GRANDMA: Bye boys and girls.
