...All The Other Songs
(Arranged by character, no da!!)
NURIKO:
Kaze no Uta:  Ahh...the Episode 33 song.  Personally, I don't like this melody as much as Nuri-chan's other vocal enterprises...the real hit comes with the lyrics, which basically tell about his being proud to be a Seishi and his duty & willingness to protect Miaka. (Character Vocal Memories CD)

Ren Ren Bojou:  This is a surprisingly pretty and addictive song.  My understanding is that it's from the CD books, which I've never heard; the only sad thing is, Sakamoto Chika-sama doesn't sing it!! It's some other chick who sounds more like a girl.  I also have no clue as to the translation of the lyrics, since I do not know Japanese.  Something about a dream and a guy, so I'm guessing...mmmmmmmaybe Hotohori?...I dunno.  I dunno when the CD books take place: i.e., before the series, or after, like in those pictures of Nuriko in a business skirt and tights that one sees from time to time.  Anyhow.  Very nice, rather haunting melody. (I don't know what CD this song is on; sorry! I'll try to get an mp3 up)
HOTOHORI:
Sadame no Hoshi:  Hmm...Hotohori doesn't really SING in this song...he seems to be part of an all-male chorus line.  Even so, it's pretty cool; it's to the tune of his theme song from the series. It is, however, rather repetitive.(Character Vocal Memories)

Boku no Uchuu ni Kimi ga Iru:  Speaking of repetitive, here's Hotohori-sama's OTHER song...here, for some reasong, they lump all the refrains at the end instead of distributing them evenly.  The Kermit-the-Frog thing still stands for this song, but it's not bad.  You know what would be a great song?? I would love to hear a duet sung by Nuriko and Hotohori where they're both pretending to be women!! I'd die laughing! It would be SO funny!!! This has nothing to do with Boku no Uchuu Etc. (which, for the record--no pun intended--is also on the Character Vocal Memories CD), but I just thought I'd toss it in because I really have nothing better to say.
NAKAGO:
Houkou:  This is a very fun song; cool melody, a lot of the same chords in the chorus as MIZU-KAGAMI, but it's not as important as MIZU-KAGAMI, for it is not typed in all capital letters.  You can really HUMMMMMMMMM along with this one, even if you don't know the words (which I don't). ^_^ (Seiryuu Counter Attack CD)

Blue Eyes Blue:  Okay.  Picture Nakago in a very depressed mood.  His mom's dead, his fellow seishi are werewolves, messed-up opera clowns, and floating dwarves, and the Kutou emperor wants to sleep with him.  No one to turn to.  Picture Nakago heading to the nearest bar and ordering about three tanks of beer on top of his whisky sour in order to drown his sorrows.  Now pretend it's karaoke night at the bar, and Our Villain gets pushed up onto the stage by some peasant with a nasty sense of humor.  The result is Blue Eyes Blue. (Also Seiryuu Counter Attack)
SUBOSHI:
Never Get Away:  Completely cracks me up.  Don't get me wrong, it's catchy. It's just incredibly 80s.  ^_^ And ooooooooohhhh, so dramatic! Suboshi has a kinda whiny, nasal voice, which makes him sneery and stuff.  But it's a fun song! Very fun, especially if one is in a dramatic-yet-silly mood.  (Seiryuu Counter Attack)
AMIBOSHI:
Nocturne: At first, I thought this song was pretty.  And it is.  It's a pretty little song.  However, it's also pretty boring.
HIKITSU/
TOMATO:
(Um...I mean Tomite...)
Kimi ga Hohoeru Nara:  Awesome song!! I looked for this to download FOREVER, and when I finally found it, I was not disappointed! Even if Hikkie DOES go a little flat at parts (which made me wince a bit), it doesn't change the fact that it's a darn good song.  And we can give the poor guy a break; after all, he's been dead for two hundred years.  (Random note: at one point, it sounds like Hikitsu's saying "I Am A Cheeto," which is just incredibly funny to me...makes you wonder what they're REALLY singing about...)  Warning, though: this one gets stuck in your head.
TATARA:
Seed:  This was the other song I looked for forever, and it's not as good, in my opinion.  In fact, it made me laugh.  Tatara's got a bunch of backup singers singing "SEED!!!" really dramatically.  My interpretation of the lyrics: "SEED!!! Look at me, I've got a SEED!!! So come and see my SEED!!!"  -_-()  But it's worth a listen, just so you can say you've heard the Seed Song.
Heart ni Kiraboshi Sakashitare:  Tasuki has a real Jerry Lee Lewis piano thing going here.  Which is fitting, since the song that pops into one's mind is "Great Balls of Fire." Heh heh.  Anyhoo, this song is cool; you can picture Tasuki being a rock and roll kinda guy, cantcha? ^_^ Although this one SERIOUSLY gets stuck in your head.  I'm not even close to joking.  You'll be singing "Rekka Shinen!" for a week, which will be made worse by the fact that those are the only lyrics you can remember.  ~.^;; Lord knows he says it often enough.  And the "DAHA HA HA!" part is classic! (Side note: When you closely examine the title, do you get "Sack Ashitare?" Hmm...I'd sack him, too, if it were up to me.  I'd do MORE than sack him.  What a pity it is that he has no character songs of his own.) (Character Vocal Memories)

Do=Be's ga Yatta Kuru:  Catchy.  But kinda sad, when you think about it, since Tasuki's singing about hiding his sadness behind a cheeful mask.  Jeez.  All these characters have such complexes.  Tasuki, Nuriko, and Chichiri should all just go off and form a "Mask Club," or something.  (Character Vocal Memories)
