Our Adventures on Pikes Peak

Levi & I took a ride on the Cog Railway that takes ticket holders to the top of Pikes Peak from Manitou Springs. That's Levi next to the Cog on top of Pikes Peak. On the way up we saw a herd of elk, two ground hogs (looked like badgers with their heavy coats) and two other Cog's on their decent. Some of the riders on the other Cog's warned us that it was snowing up there. I was dreading not having a jacket but was pleasantly suprised to find it was only a little brisk.

At the summit, we got an awesome view of Colorado Springs (reminded me of looking out the window of a 747). We took the advice they had given us down at the station in Manitou Springs to drink plenty of water. This apparently allows the blood stream to carry sufficient oxygen.

Instead of loading all the pictures (this takes time to load) I have included links to some of them here.
