Help!

Here it is Fall already and I do not have enough material put together for another newsletter. Rather than chastise the rest of you, as I know how hard it is too find the time to jot thoughts of the family down, I'm enclosing a questionaire. You can think of it as a survey if you want but it is information I need to compile a book about us.

I failed to mention in the last newsletter that I wanted to put out an issue focused on a certain generation, say the grandchildren of the son's and daughter's of Richard Albert Jr. and Anna Mae (Hart) Watts. If you think you would like to read about your next of kin, send your stories tto me so I can get them out to the rest of the family.

Also, if you have suggetions for the next family reunion or comments about the last one, send them my way. I am sure the rest of the family will appreciate it.

Childhood!

I remember visiting Roy as a child! We were all so small. I hadn't yet started school and am 35 now. I do remember Roy has a sister Karen also. Monta Faye lived down the street in a small trailer from Pete's. We were told to stay in the yard - no - I and a few others, not sure which of you all, went down to Monta's. I know for a fact I got switched all the way back to Pete's house.

Way back When

I remember my Grandmother and most of my dad's brothers and sisters. I especially remember Uncle Fred's family. They lived around Wellington and were closer to us than any of my dad's family, therefore we saw them more.

I'm glad everybody made an effort to be at the first reunion. Also, I think it is best to get together every year. Seems like the years pass so fast and some of us are getting on in years and can expect health changes.

Suggestions for the next Reunion

You know we really didn't get to visit much with any certain ones, I remember very little of it, I wonder if it is kosher to make an agenda of what we should do when for next year.

We had no pictures taken of the "last generation" other than singles. It would be neat to even have groups meet at so-n-so at such a time to get pictures without so much confusion.

Possible Inherited Heart Defect

I have a possible inherited heart defect that others might need to be aware of. The greatest danger of this defect is not being aware of its possible presence. Your family doctor needs to be aware. My brother died last year from a massive heart attack, whcihh came as a complete suprise to the family and the doctors. I do not know if he too had a congenital defect.

My left coronary artery is tiny. All other arteries and veins are normal in size. This artery supplies blood and oxygen increased requirements of oxygen to the muscles being used. In my case, the blood returns faster than it can leave, which causes a great deal of pressure (tightness) in the chest and difficult breathing. I really thought it was my lungs. I smoked for many years and had allergy related pneumonia several times.

The best thing I ever done for myself was quit smoking and the worst was the lack of excercise. This defect became more apparent when I tried to regain a measure of physical fitness.

Corrections

The family listing that appeared in the last issue undoubtedly had errors. Monta Faye sent me these unofficial corrections, can anyone make them official? On the listing, each descendant was assigned a number (this number also appeared on your address labels) and I will be using that to direct your attention to the corrections.

24 Anna should read Annie; 242 and 2423 Loyd should read Lloyd; 243 Luella Sherfield's middle name is Elizabeth; 2431 Linda's middle name is Sue; 24311 Ben (Ruben Castro) is older than 24312 Stephanie Renee descending from Ruben Benavidez; 24313 Tessa Gay is Linda and Curtis'; 2432 Ritchie (Richie?) is Richard Franklin; 24321 Candice is older than 24322 Cameron; 2433 Jerry Bob married Teresa; 2435 Amy Lou retained maiden name from terminated marriage to Bill Finsterwald.

This is about half of the corrections Monta Faye sent to me. I'll continue in the next issue. Please verify these and let me know the dates of birthdays, weddings and deaths.
