Lyndon James myc@pvbcand.org is a 1971 graduate of Florida State University where he received a Bachelor degree in Music Education and in 1975, received his Masters of Arts in Church Music Education at Scarritt College in Nashville, TN.
Mr. James' main focus in life has always been in the minsitry. Though he has played many roles through the years, his ultimate purpose has always been in serving the Lord. Throughout his life he has volunteered and served as part-time and full-time positions within the Church.
Brother Lyndon was saved at the age of seven in Sunday School at the Saugus Methodist Church in Massachusetts. He fondly remembers his teacher, Miss Bee would always close each lesson in prayer. She would have the students repeat that they were sinners needing forgiveness, Christ to come in to their lives and dwell in their hearts. One Sunday, Lyndon said the so familiar prayer and meant it. Jesus saved him and his life has never been the same since.
Lyndon James felt he was called into full-time ministry in the summer of 1975. At the time he had just completed his fifth year as a public school teacher when he felt God's call upon his life. The Word of God and Godly advice by trusted Christian friends and ministers confirmed his calling.
The next six months were very testing on him. While he struggled with what he should do, the people at the church where he was working part-time encouraged him. They advised him to continue his education and get his degree in Christian Education. He applied to Scarritt College in Nashville, TN where he met his future wife Sandye. They were married in June of 1976 and spent their honeymoon moving to Nashville, by faith.
"We didn't have a place to live, no jobs and I hadn't even been accepted into college at that time. Yet, we knew that was where God wanted us."
Within a week, he was enrolled, they had an appartment and jobs. God had fulfilled His promise and provided. Since that time, Brother Lyndon has been faithfully serving our Lord in churches in the states of Georgia, Texas and South Carolina.
Currently >staff@pvbcand.orgwe are without a church secretary. If you are interested please call Pastor Taylor @ 226-1248.
