Every effort has been made to "crunch" each photo to under 20k. Of course it is possible to reduce the size further but that reduces the photo quality considerably. This is the best compromise acceptable to me! Unfortunately this still requires a considerable time to download. Your machine requires lots of RAM, a fast processor and a high speed internet connection for shorter download time. Of course it is possible to browse using an average machine but you have to be patient. I have made an effort to group the photos into several pages.
