|||||||||||||
The kidneys which mainly remove extra water and wastes from human body as the urine is one of human vital organs. When various reasons distroied the kidneys, the patient would definitely die if without substitute treatments. There are only two ways to substute kidney functions. One is dialysis treatment, which means using artificial kidney to remove extra water and wastes. But this is only a temperay way to keep patient survive, because the artificial kidney can not tatolly substitute all functions of the real kidney's. And dialysis is much less efficient in function when comparing with the function of a real kidney, but very expensive. The patient under dialysis can not back to normal life. The real thorough treatment is to replace with a healthy kidney. It is called kidney transplantation. The healthy kidney can be donate by both living humans or by cadaver donors. Patients and colleagus have granted me high reputation for my surgical skills. |
