QCY '93 website  (The launch of the site)

The Set of 93 have finally launched their long awaited website.  The QCY93 site, founded by Kemisola Yusuf, was launched on the Valentines Day – (14-02-2002). Kemisola compared the site with a Multinational Corporation claiming that is very much still part of the main Queen’s College Website. She is quoted saying:

"… I do not want us to break totally away from the general website but to carve our niche so our website will concentrate on our set (Set of 1993) ... Just think of it like AT&T and its subsidiaries (they all have websites and links to each other)…"

The Coordinator of the Mother site (Simisola Marinho) recently commended the efforts used to make this site a success.   She was quoted saying:

“…I am relieved to see that ex-QC girls are interested in keeping and expanding the present site in such an innovative way.  I visited your site and was highly impressed with the layout and content…  I hope… it will motivate girls from other sets to implement similar sites…

Kemisola recently released the different sections that will make up the site:

The Objectives of this site are as follows:

  • To share information about ourselves amongst ourselves

  • To share information about general issues in life (love, career and life).

  • To aid each other in matters of the heart through feedbacks and discussion boards (MBA, careers, life...)

  • To share with the rest of the world who we are.

  • To share info that we will use to give back to the Nigerian society and QC.


10th Year Anniversary

The time is coming for the girls of 93 to celebrate their 10th year anniversary. Morayo Dawodu has released the names of the team that will be joining her to make this event a time to remember.  These girls are:

  • Tinuke Alakija,

  • Heidi Ijomah,

  • Funke Odutayo,

  • Ronke Ejobe (nee Abiodun),

  • Tope Ayanbule.

These girls will be working together over the next year to decide how we will be celebrating our anniversary.  Rumours have it that there could be some sponsors for the event. All we say is “watch this space”.
