The sun
Inside of the sun:

· Core: the center of the sun, and where sun’s energy was produced. Diameter: 400,000 Km. Temperature reach to 15,000,000 degree C.

· Radiative Zone: 300,000 Km thick. Takes light million of years to pass through this zone.

· Convective Zone: 200,000 Km thick. Cool and hot gasses were circulating in this zone. Hot gasses rise, and cool gasses sink.

· Photosphere: the surface of the sun. 600 Km thick, temperature reach to 6,000 degree C.

·Chromosphere: 3,000 Km thick. Only able too see during a total solar ecilpse. Temperature 4,000 to 5,000 degree C.

·Corna: the outer atmosphere of the sun. 10-12 times of the sun's diameter. Temperature  reach to 2,000,000 degree C.
The spot in the surface of the sun are call sunspot. Sunspots are the cooler and dark area of the sun's surface. Those long loops of gas arch up from the sunspot are call prominences. All prominences start and end in the sunspots.

Some time the sun would sent out a large amount of matter to the outer space, they were called solar flare. a solaer flare could be even hotter than the core.

The sun also produce solar wind. They were made out of the charged particle out from the sun. They appearch to be watching during the comet pass. the earth is protect from the solar wind by its magnetic field.
Sun is the biggest planet in the solar system. The 8 other planets were orbiting around it, because it's gravity was strong enough to keep the 8 planets orbit around it.
The production of sun's energy
The sun has been shining for about4.6 billion years. Back in the old time there are so much question for why is the sun shining. No body had answer it until the begining of the 20th century. Albert Einstein demonstrated that matter and energy are interchangeble. Matter can be converted to energy according to his famous formula: E=mc to the 2nd power.

Nuclear fusion is the process by which two or more nuclei with small masses join together, or fuse, to form a larger, more massive nucleus. during the process, energy is produced - a lot of it.
