Congratulations to the New Graduates: J.D. Hipolito, April J. Reyes , Kathryn Rose Veluya.  You guys just made another milestone in the History of QPHS69ers, we are all proud of you, kudos to the parents, and Rosie needless to say but I'll say anyway, talagang "Nananalaytay sa Dugo", the legend goes on. And of course to Joni, more power and blessings to you for its just the beginning.

I viewed the June update of 69ers' web site. Not only was I impressed with the graphics but most of all with the efforts that our Webmaster, Johnny Jardin (JJ) had put to make our web site running for five months now. To JJ and to his wife Laura, please accept our sincerest thank you and best wishes on your wedding anniversary.

To my friend Cesar, I just published the “long-term memory recollections”  you wrote focusing on my life after high school. I made some minor changes but overall, it pretty much tells how I was and where I am as we speak. In behalf of my family, we appreciate your efforts, time and resources to make my profile on our web site the best it can be…even if it takes-up plenty of server space on the web. Many thanks to Mil who also provided some details in the recollection process. Your bud, JJ

I am a QPHS 68er, and I feel so proud viewing your website. It makes me feel we have completed/acquired things that we were deprived of during high school. Did we ever taste a school bus, a speech lab, an audio-visual room, a clean toilet etc.?? Despite all these, we still stand proud of Quezon High because we learned life with discipline initiated by the grueling regimen of our high school years. Congratulations to all of us!!!

It's funny to see the pictures of this month's (April) celebrants, especially Uncle Boy. This is a very good page which is even better with its humor! Hi Uncle Johnny! Thanks for showing us the web page! Danica

WOW!...WOW!...at WOW pa uli! Mga pare at mga bossing, my hat's off to you all: JJ, Rosie, Ray and Mil! Well done, indeed! I never thought the extent would be this great, olredi. And we were just 'talking' about it not too long ago. Ang bilis, a! Oopss!... bago ko malimutan, now, who's idea it was to put me on the spotlight? You guys are sleek! No wonder Leni is too anxious to have me look at the latest update. She said I'm in for a big surprise. I had to bribe the ADP guy to get access so i could find that out. Guys, you caught me unaware! Ha-ha! (But I like it!) Rosie, maraming salamat sa pagbabalik ng nakaraan. I know i did a lot of awful things back then. Mga bagay na nakakainis at nakakahiya. Pero, ano'ng aking magagawa? Dahil ako'y bata! But, really, those were the fun days and I enjoyed them. Now I have to thank you all for the great efforts and priceless dedications to this, our renewed enthusiasms, to get together again (parang kanta,a!). This is the kind of 'thing', I'm sure, no amount of money can buy. This one is our very own! And with this new found medium, it really is a small world, after all, to reach and renew our association with the rest of the Class of '69. So, classmates (out there), it's time to indulge ourselves to some reflections. Maraming salamat! p.s., I'm wordless to all your heartfelt greetings to our anniversary. nakaka-antig ng damdamin. nagpapabuntong-hininga (veinte quatro na pala!).

We also added a new section titled "Celebrant's Page" featuring our co-grad(s)' upcoming birthdays and anniversaries! Elvie Borda- Lao is our first birthday celebrant. Pls visit "Celebrant's Page" for more details.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! You guys did a great job. I had fun trying to recognize batch 69ers in the pictures, and reading the articles. Brought back memories of pa-morningan kwentuhan with my sister. There's really nothing like hi-school days.

hi Rosie, This is really a splendid idea. Good instrument to be able to reach other batch mates and friends. Specially all those other people from all over the world. Well, this gave me the drive to start with our own website. More power to QPHS 69'ers. Uncle Dave V showed me your website in Keswick, Ontario Canada. We just visited to attend my Aunt's funeral service. Till next time and take care. Si Dodie Abcede class '72

We're continually enhancing our website. If you've been here lately, you'll see pages or sections with new "themes" or background. Our future updates will include more sections to browse but we need your help. We need more co-grad participants to keep our site alive. Any topic you want to share is okay with us. Send us your input via email at qphs69ers@yahoo.com or via regular snail mail Postal service.

i'm writing again because when i did the first comment, i hadn't viewed all the pages of the web site. good entries on the events page, rosie. kudos, too, to uel for his travelogue. hope johnny or rosie can persuade someone to fill in the other pages of taglish. what about cynthia? instead of her forwarding to us messages that she had earlier received, she can write of the happenings in lucena and the greater manila area. i'm sure she can find the time to ring boy a. (maraming nasasagap na balita yan eh) then relay to johnny whatever she can gather. i'm just about to go home and it just occurred to me that i haven't viewed the bulletin board. i'll do that tomorrow as laarni will be waiting for me at the bus stop.

Cesar requested me to send this message to Johnny but after viewing the Guest Book, I thought this would be the better place to type his message which is: Pareng Johnny, how is it going mate? May I congratulate you on building our web site. WELL DONE! I'll do my bit later on. I'll probably send you some photos (old & new) to start with.

now, for my bit. pls excuse the no caps. it took me a while to type cesar's letter because i had to press the shift key. kaya nga ba no caps na lang ang ginagamit ko eh. saves time. well, well (uel) - a job well done, johnny. congratulations, too, to ray, rosie and uel. i knew you could do it. and the guest book you've set up is exactly what i had in mind when i asked you if that could be done. 10/10, everyone! re excursion to manila. uel, i can't remember the girl that followed ed nicdao. i do remember the ateneo part. when kuya edring showed us the library, he said that it was 'second to none' in the whole of asia. and to that ed added: 'that means it's number 1!' . . . it will be a while before cesar can type his message himself. but he'll get there. . . glad to see your message, zoen and nini. . . i'm disappointed that we haven't heard from the others who have access to the net, those in the u.s. esp. let's give them time.

I saw the enhanced color scheme of our web site. It's very catching and lively. Was there a flashing light on the title bar before? I didn't notice it until today. Hope JJ's efforts in continuously improving our web site will get response from the rest of us, here and in other parts of the world.

I re-read Uel's travelogue Hong Kong. Hey, bakit hindi ako kasama sa field trip in Manila that you mentioned? You had a field trip and I didn't even know it? I know that some of us are afflicted with short term memory (nakakalimot mag-email) or merong arthritis (natatamad mag-type) but I was too young to have that affliction then. Pero talagang hindi ako kasama noon? Bakit ninyo ako iniwanan? And a girl followed Ed Nicdao to Luneta? Hmm...sounds familiar to me. Magnetic personality siguro, ano? Ed, I hope you are visiting our web site. Say something about this. To anyone who wants to make comments on anything that is published in our web, please feel free to do so. If you wanted to correct something that has an error in information, or gusto ninyong barahin ang writer (subtle lang), puede rin. Hear from you soon? Elvie? Tony? Willy? Lorly? Diony? Mey? Cesar? It's a pleasure to have classmates that are not only very talented but also very much involved in the interests of QPHS '69ers. From now on we won't be strangers to each other anymore. Estrangement for 30 years is enough. Our website made it possible for us to shorten our geographical distance. Our web site is the product of Uel's "palabuntis na guni-guni" (fertile imagination); Johnny's computer wiz and Ray's graphics. WE can honor them by visiting and contributing to our web site and giving feedbacks and comments. Let's keep our web site going To Uel Ongwico, JJ Jardin and Ray Argosino--Saludos from all of QPHS '69ers!!

Part of Uel Ongwico's email dated Feb. 20, 2000 currently deployed to Western Pacific onboard USS John J. Stennis (CVN-74)

greetings, my fellow cocobucos!

after a cool respite, i'm pumped and energized to do battle. so, LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!!! Rosie, i read your note. from now on, i'll forward every piece of story i write (when my psychotic curiosity to nibble and pick send a contagion from my cerebral itch to my scratchy fingers) to you and the other members of the editorial board (wow! hebing-behi ang tunog, a! true meadow (parang tutoo). naks!, korni bra?) one thing, tho', i'm shut out of the 'net (ship's policy since we're entering the Gulf, i think!) so, i'll put off whatever comment i have for the graphics (i still want to see Ray's Mr. Coco without the 'Class Batch' tattooed on its face). mukhang mas pogi kung wala, 'di ba? (does everybody agree with me?) what do you think, guys?

SUGGESTION: can we create a column/page titled "ANG PERGOLA" (remember the patio in front of the cafeteria?) for all the anecdotes, tidbits and 'tsismis' that we can gather from time immemorial to
the present? (anything that happened under the sun during our circa) just an idea. like, a 'k'wentong barbero' section.  maybe Ray could create a cartoon story like the ones in the 'dailies'.

Here's an excerpt from Rosie Amat Veluya suggesting layouts, inputs to our website.

Pls have yours heard and implemented!!

I. Events Page- since we don't have too many happenings among ourselves,
may be we can feature events that will include our whole family, i.e.,
babies being born (at our age? apo siguro), weddings, graduations,
anniversaries. We should have a caretaker of this page from the
Philippines (I'm thinking of Ding Briones and Carol Davila).
Wait...Banny Quinto has a barber shop. You know that barber shops are a
good place to know the latest event. Uel, can we get Banny on this? As
for us who are here we can just send whatever events you want to publish
to JJ. Our main concern of course are happenings amongst '69ers (if
any). I'll do the initial articles on this page until we can get others
to participate.

II. Photo Gallery - As we already know this will have photos of kami
noon and kami ngayon. Is it possible not to confine "kami noon" photos
to high school days only? We didn't see each other during college days
and even after. It would be nice to see bell bottoms, long hair, flower
power T-shirts. Photos should be captioned to include the year (very
important) they were taken and what they were all about. Your baby
pictures? Puede rin. Let's make it as a contest of "Guess Who This Baby
Is?" Winner gets a kiss via the internet.

III. Taglish - Ahh... this one is fun, it's freedom page. For a start
may be we should have permanent column writers on this page. Uel, you
are one good Taglish writer. Your travelogues are not only humorous but
informative as well. Mey, ilabas natin ang hidden talent on jokes on
this page. As you already know I've asked Ding to look for some of the
COCO staffers OR ANY '69er who will be very interested to contribute
articles. It might take a while before we can get the Philipine front
moving, so let's give them a sample of our product first.

Here are Mil's suggestions:

entries for events? siguro naman there are 69ers who gather at family
get-togethers: children's (apos') birthday parties, anniversaries, etc. and
i'm sure there would have been photos taken then. so encourage everyone to send these photos and maybe put them under "mini-reunions." will comment more next time.
