Queueing Theory Software Overview

We are pleased to announce the availability of QtsPlus (Thompson, Harris and Gross), software for solving a wide range of queueing models. The software is based on the textbook Fundamentals of Queueing Theory, 4th Ed, 2008, Gross, Shortle, Thompson and Harris, John Wiley & Sons, Inc.

QtsPlus Version 3 is an update version that contains new models reflected in the 4th Edition textbook. QtsPlus provides the following improvements over the Qts Standard:

*  Larger models. For example, the Open Jackson Network model in QtsPlus supports up to a 50 node network, whereas the Qts Standard only supported up to a ten nodes.

*  Improved user interface. The new version makes of colors, performs input parameter validity checks and checks for queueing model stability.

*  Tutor facility. This facility demonstrates how models are applied to real-world situations.

*  Customizable simulation tools to analyze situations where analytic or numerical results do not exist.
