| These are the pictures I took at the Forbidden City.
I had always wanted to go there. All I could say is, it's just as breath taking
as those stone warriors in Xian. The palace's carved decorations are everywhere!
If you want to take them all, I think 3 rolls of film won't be enough! The ones
posted here are just a few selections from my collections. I don't want to bore
you with them all.

The second picture from the left on the first row are
decorations from the roof. The second picture from the right of the second
row is a decoration on the doors that divide different
sections of the palace. The third picture in the second row is a map
of the palace. The last picture on the right in the bottom row shows
a decoration on the roof. This hanging ball is placed above the throne.
It was said that if the Emperor is not fit to be on the throne, the round
ball will fall onto the throne.
Not all sections of the palace are open to public. Most rooms
not allowed to be entered in order to protect these artifects.
