Please not that both Stockwell Day and Stephen Harper are keynote speakers at this conference. Full admission price is $150; student rate $25; if you want to attend just the keynote speakers speeches, the cost is $50 for each. Stockwell Day speaks on Friday evening at 7:00 pm, Stephen Harper speaks at 8:00 am Saturday morning. Oct. 12      n  BC REGIONAL CONFERENCE. October 12-14, Friday, Saturday, and then Sunday morning. All taking place at the Richmond Inn, in Richmond, of course. Only $99 per delegate. Call BC Regional Co-ordinator  Brian Archer at 681 6333.

Jan.-Mar. n  Party National Council Election. One Member, one vote. Mail-in ballot.

Feb.-Mar. n  Party Leadership Election. One Member, one vote. Mail-in ballot. A national council committee, the Leadership Election Organizing Committee (LEOC) is being set up to create the rules and regulations of the leadership race.

April 4-7   n  Assembly 2002,  Edmonton at the Shaw Convention Centre. More on this as information develops, but don’t forget the Deadline for Policy and Constitutional resolutions for this Assembly is September 28th, just four weeks away. All Policy and Constitutional Motions must be in the hands of National Office by this date.

National Council Contenders:- Rumours (undenied) have it that Ron Churchill (Burnaby), Bill Grulkey, (Vancouver) and incumbents Don Irwin (Kelowna) and Bill McGill (Mission) are going to be nominated for National Council, for which elections are expected to take place early next year.

Leadership Contenders:- Rumours (also undenied) have it that Dean Drysdale (Langley, BC), Stephen Harper (Calgary, AB), Stockwell Day Penticton, BC).and Diane Ablonczy (Calgary, AB) may be nominated for election to Leadership of the Party.
