My Hometown¡ªZheng Zhou City

Zhengzhou is the political, economic and cultural center of Henan Province. Under its Jurisdiction there are six districts and six counties. The city covers a total area of 7,446.2 square kilometers in which the city proper occupies 1,013.3 square kilometers including built-up area of 147.7 square kilometers. It had a total population of 6.66 million at the end of Year 1995, of which 2.05 million are urban dwellers. Its strategic location on the central plain has made it a major hub of national transportation and communication, a national opening-up city, an important key city along the Euro-Asia Continent Bridge as well as a well-known Chinese historical and cultural city. It is also among the fifty cities with the strongest comprehensive strength, the forty cities offering the best investment environment and cities having the best hygiene condition.
