Computer Art Surrealism Assignment

Believe or not, that's me in there. This was our first Computer Art assignment. Same professor, still a bit scattered... We had to take some phototgraphs of ourselves and of some scenery, and combine them into one image using Adobe Photoshop. The background (trees, buildings, sky...) was one photo, and I was a second. I used a scanner to digitize both images, and after countless hours I was able to blend them almost seamlessly together, creating what I consider to be my most technically impressive piece. To make my skin, I first tinted my real skin a flourescent green color, and then used a speckling filter, which gave me nice spots. I then drew in the mouth and tail, and added some lighting effects (all by hand mind you) and thus was born the lizard.
Just as a (somewhat amusing) side note, the branches of the tree I'm eating from disappeared from the actual tree only days after I completed this piece. Kinda makes you wonder...
