NOTES
                       ------------

(a note on the notes: these notes are aligned to read properly in
the official Starcraft Campaign Editor... other editors... maybe
 not so lined up...)

Piņata Party! has undergone some major improvements in piņata

some new switches have been added and some old ones are no
longer used. A complete lists follows. (Ahhh! paranoia! They're
following me!!!)

If you do edit or redo Piņata Party!, please put my name as the
original creator, as I worked on this for about a month and it almost
mading me insane :P Add another few weeks a year later...
you get the picture :)

Please rename your edited file to show that it is not the original,
and to avoid overwriting my laboreous work. The original will be
named pinata_party_x_xx_team.scm with a title of
"Team Piņata Party! vx.xx" or "Piņata Party! vx.xx Team Edition"
where the ''x'' is some version number...

Please leave these notes as well, and place any additional
comments below.
Like this :)
- The reason the switches are in an odd ordder is because I
was originally going to have only two piņatas, but later found it would
make for a very unbalanced game with six players and only two
piņatas, so player 5 and 6 were piņata-fied later on.
- To get the " ņ " for " piņata ", hold ALTT and type 164 on the
numeric keypad, and then let go of ALT. Viola! A " ņ " is born!
- I have found it is very difficult to assiign a specific unit kill to a
player. Each unit killed gives you a specific "kill score". The
overlords give you 200 kill points. But, if you
kill an opponent or another piņata, that adds to the score, sometimes
before a piņata death can be assigned. As a result, every once in a
while, a piņata may spew no candy at all. Also, if two piņatas are
killed at the same exact time by different players, there is a 50/50
chance that each player will get candy from their own piņata. If they
don''t, it will pop out of the other player''s piņata. This is a vast
improvement over my old method, in which the lower-numbered
player (1, 2, 3, or 4) would get the candy out of all simultaneously
popped piņatas. This should balance things out, and please a great
many people who get angry when someone else (usually the person
who makes the game) gets an unfair candy advantage, causing all
sorts of comment-flinging to ensue, like "cheater", "rigged", and
"Well, this version SUCKS!" :P

This is accomplished (the detection, not the name calling... though
I guess they are related :P) by setting a number of switches, which
prohibit one player from getting candy from more than one piņata at
a time. Also, each piņata has a unique order for player checking to
see who popped the piņata. the checking order is like so:
Player 5: 1 2 3 4
Player 6: 3 4 1 2
Player 7: 2 1 4 3
Player 8: 4 3 2 1
This way, each player has the same chance of being first, second,
and so on in the checking order, and the same chance of being
checked before or after any other player (ie. player 1 is checked
before player 2 twice, and checked after player 2 twice. See?
Nice :P)

- v1.0 -> v1.2x
- Some tweaking has gone on to try to balannce gameplay...
Still, there are occasions when a player is wiped out quickly...
Pop Rocks right off the bat, for instance...
Sorry to whoever it was I popped :P
- Dentist quantities have been reduced fromm four down to one,
and their damage adjusted to make them not quite impossible,
but not weak lame-o dentists either...
- Plastic Eggs now come full of candy, and Gummi Worms now
start with one Sour Patch Kid (was none, then four... too strong).
- Also, an M&M conversion mistake has been fixed, as well as
some other thing that I have just forgotten...

v1.21 - less dentists, more balanced candy power
          - There is now but one Dentist per Spew... people hate ''em :)
They no longer wipe everyone out.
          - I made a version that defaults to teams... some people have
a hard time with the concept of teaming up in-game :/

v1.22 - Removed Rock Candy (Infested Kerrigan) cloaking. ''Twas
a tad unfair, especially if you have no Dots to see them
               with.

v1.23 - Made piņatas always visible with map pings
As a result, someone flat out said "man, this is really fun!"
And, people who don''t boother to read the directions can
usually figure out what to do within the first couple of map
               pings :)

v1.50 - Vastly improved piņata popping detection. Yes!
          - Fixed some of these comments. When I added switches
several versions ago, the changes never made it into
              the switch list...
