donate. The Queenie Foundation announces its eighth annual National Homeless Animals' Day Candlelight Vigil Saturday, August 16, 2003. The vigil takes place Dallas at Stone Tables picnic site at White Rock Lake, Lake Highlands and Buckner Blvd. (two traffic lights north of Garland Rd. and Buckner Blvd.) This event was begun in 1992 by the International Society for Animal Rights (ISAR) to inform the public about the tragedy of animal overpopulation, specifically dogs and cats; however, it can apply to any species. You can check out the website for the International Society for Animal Rights. All rescue/adoption/protection organizations are invited to set up their table starting at 5 PM; all others are invited to attend. This event is free for everyone. Please invite your volunteers, family, friends, co-workers and neighbors (leashed companion animals are always welcome). We also encourage you to post this event on your website and list it in your newsletter. The Meet & Greet is from 6 - 8 and the vigil is 8 - 9 PM. Please RSVP by e-mail to queeniefound@hotmail.com if you plan to have a table. We invite you to bring your literature, wear your organization T-shirt, display your banner, bring photos of your adoptable animals, sign people up on your mailing list, make appointments with prospective adopters and invite the public to volunteer with your organization. This is not an adoption event.
Tasty vegetarian food will be available from the Spiral Diner If you have any questions, please call me at 214.328.3332 or contact me via e-mail at queeniefound@hotmail.com. Enid Breakstone, Founder
