Dragon Love
How does a dragon love? Is his love gentle and thoughtful, peaceful, deep and complete? Does he love with his whole being & not just pieces at a time? Is his love strong and protective, fierce, stable and wise? Does he love with caution instead of loving each moment as it comes? Is his love contentment and comfortable, intimate, cozy and warm? Does he soar effortlessly with love and contentment beneath his wings or does he pump furiously to stay above hurt, fear and rejection? Is his love a blend of laughter & tears, joy & sorrow, light & dark, beginning & end... life, death & rebirth?

I want to know.

I am beginning to know how a dragon loves... because I am being loved by such a creature. Dragon Tempest flew into my life early April of '98 and seems to be one who will be staying for a long time. He came during a time when I needed someone and I'm so glad he is here. With him I feel safe, secure, content and truly loved. DT has proven himself to me with words, thoughts & actions. He is gentle, kind, thoughtful, warm, adoring, strong and a lot of other sappy words I'll refrain from using for those weak at heart. *grins*

We are building a relationship with trust, caring, honesty and a bit of pain & fear as well. The pain & fear comes from the past which will forever remain a part of us and has been accepted as such. He is teaching me how to soar higher than I've ever dreamed of ... and I'm teaching him how to lose himself & find what was lost within another heart & soul - mine. A friend once said that "Friendship is one soul in two bodies." Another has said that "Love is two souls in one heart." I believe both of them are right.

We share laughter & tears, joys & fears, dreams & nightmares... and things we never thought we'd be able to share with anyone ever. We live in two different but neighboring states so we're working harder to keep our relationship together until the time comes when we CAN be together. As much as we want it to be now, we both know that it will be worth the wait.

We have kept no secrets from each other. We both have had hard times in our lives. He would say me more than him in some areas & him more than me in others! He is such a great friend & I adore him to death. It's hard to imagine living without him or never meeting him. I cannot say for certain that I'm in love with him, since I've never been in love like this. But if this is how it is supposed to feel... then I'll gladly say that I love him.

Update 13 Aug. 1998

We have been soaring & learning together for five months now... and in love the last four. My dragon & I have been through many things that have tested the bond that is between us but we're still together. Thank the Goddess. I never thought I would ever find as much peace, happiness and love as he has shown & shared with me. I try to tell him I love him everyday, every chance that I get... and thank him for loving me.

Update 5 Jan. 1999

He proprosed to me, I said yes, we're living together & planning on a 6 November wedding (hopefully). We have a lovely dark grey with white spotting kitten named Mrrsha. Ok... Well he said that she's a rodent & not lovely. Oh well, to each his & her own. *grins* We're having a pretty good time being together FINALLY. Well wish us luck for 1999!!

Update 22 Oct. 1998

My dragon's love for me has lasted to this, our seventh month together. He's even asked me to share his life for eternity. For now we're still living & loving in separate states but hopefully soon we'll be together soon. Love has never been more sweeter, brighter, deeper & forever until DragonTempest took me in his arms to soar among the stars. Our love grows deeper; our trust is more intense; our friendship gets stronger every day.

Update October 26, 1999

Well, long time no updates! I'll just get to the main part... My DragonTempest & I have lifebonded & relocated to Savannah, GA. Our relationship has weathered some rough storms but we were able to still come out strongly together. Nothing will ever keep us apart ever again. Mrrsha has joined his family & we adopted two new kittens, Simon & Legacy. They've been with us for nearly three months & are double the kitten that Mrrsha was!!

Update April 10, 2000

Greetings & Happy Millennium!! Once again, long time no update. It was made official February 4, 2000 that we, DragonTempest & I, are lifemates. Now we're looking at moving to Texas in the near future, since I've been offered a job there. SO it may be some time before I can return to update my site.
