Burthaggid is the Lord of Time and Guardian of the Dead. He knows the time of death of all mortals and delivers their spirits to their final resting place. Burthaggid prefers a lonely existence, and rarely associates with other deities.

The Timeless One is the sone of Olhantam and Kaichea. he is the father of Alchenda, the daughter of Ul'ty, Aieridyn and Rancorin, both sons of Isbri, and Viest, the son of Motara. Burthaggid appears as a powerful and aged male who is just and immobile in his resolution. He wears flowing blue robes and carries an hourglass, and wields a scythe. Common titles for Burthaggid are the Timeless One, Master of Eternity, and Guardian of the Dead.

Burthaggid's clergy will not create undead nor ally with them. They are obligated to destroy them and those seeking to live beyond their natural lifespan. It is commonly believed that if a priest of Burthaggid oversees a funeral, the deceased will have a peaceful, eternal rest. It is also rumored that the clergy slay the ill and the infirm to ensure their passage to the afterlife.
