Cassius is crazy like a fox, has the temper of a bear, the loyalty of a dog and the heart of a lion.

            Cassius is a Dwarf and big Dwarf, as far as Dwarves go. He's nearly five feet tall with a large girth. Cassius is a middle-aged dwarf, having recently celebrated his one hundred and twenty-fourth birthday with nearly a full fifth of rum all to himself.

            He's known to be unruly in both mind and body. Clothed and equipped with no rhyme nor reason, an assortment of oddities in his bags and pockets, he's a sight to behold. He'll greet you with a standoffish stare initially for he is wary of strangers who wish to be friends. Maybe later, over a tall mug of ale he'll surprise with unconventional thoughts and accidently spray a fine mist of spittle should you get to close to this enigma of a Dwarf.

            His appearance is often unsettling to other people because it is uncivilized and they do not know what to expect. This Dwarf is a creature that doesn't place much emphasis on planning for the future because they seldom seem to

            He is strongly independent and boldly speaks his mind. He can often come across as crass, impatient, selfish and stubborn. In his heart or heart's Cassius is a team player but his single-mindedness can get the better of him from time to time.

            He puts little effort into personal grooming. Among his kinsmen, the bands, twists and braids of a Dwarf's beard are representative of his stature in the clan and his lineage. The rust-colored beard on Cassius' face is unkempt and sprawling across his chest like kudzu covers a garden wall. Having spent many long seasons living outdoors, enduring the elements, his skin has become like leather, dark and thick, almost cracking in some places. His teeth jut forth in an assortment of directions reminiscent of puzzle pieces spilled out of a box in a jumbled pile. Dirt permanently resides beneath his fingernails. His clothes are hardly ever washed because in Cassius' mind, to do so would create an unnatural scent that could enrage beasts found in the wilds.

            Cassius is drawn to plight of the underdog. In his mind, all creatures deserve to be treated fairly and equally. He will fight the good fight in the face of adversity. Though his behavior strays from the normalcy found amongst most Dwarves, loyalty, industry, justice and integrity are all strongly cherished by Cassius.
