Role: The Artisan is the greatest patron of artisans, craftsmen, and merchants. His is a perfectionist and is a difficult power to please. He does not demand perfection from his flock, but insists that they strive to achieve it. His artisans and craftsmen are devoted to perfecting their talents, and his merchants are shrewd and alert businessmen who find profit that others miss.
The Artisan appears in many forms, but his most common visage is that of a mature man adorned in the finest apparel. Common titles for Delundar are the Artisan, Craftsman of the Gods, and Lord of Prosperity.
Delundar's four tasks of endeavor are Procure, Promote, Perfect, and Profit. Known informally as the "Four P's", they form a rudimentary foundation of Delundar's philosophies. The attitude of the priests can be summed in their first statute, "No endeavor achieves perfection; every undertaking provides profit." Their teachings can be harsh and they do not interact well with rural settlers. The clergy do not flourish in wilderness or sparsely populated regions. When encountered in such an environment, they are usually with a merchant caravan.
The Artisan's temples are handsome structures, designed to reflect wealth and affluence, and promote an air of prosperity. They are adorned with mosaics, fountains, and plush furnishings, and are filled with statues, sculptures, adn paintings.
