Role:

Isbri is the goddess of the air and the mother of avian and air-based creatures. She is most often symbolized by the autumn season, when her winds strip away the green life of summer.

Isbri is the daughter of Kaichea and Sethanit. She is closest to her sister Ul'ty, and the two frequently unite against their brothers Ankaris and Zandaron. The Air Goddess appears as an old, hawk-faced woman with graying hair and piercing black eyes. She has feathers slipped into the braids of her hair, and she wears stained robes colored rold, brown, and auburn. Her walking staff is actually a short spear that she uses with a net in combat. Common titles for Isbri are the Air Goddess and Mother of Storms.

Isbri's clergy are predominantly female. They are rarely viewed with tolerance in good cultures. They employ every means to glean all they can from their flock, preferring to take from the helpless and avoid confrontation when possible. Should conflict turn against them, priests of the Air goddess will always attempt to flee. Upon their death, Isbri's priests are cremated and their ashes are scattered upon the wind. They believe that if they have the Air Goddess's favor, they shall be reborn as an avian.

Large settlements usually see only small shrines to the Air Goddess. Her temples are typically found in isolated, desolate areas. They are open structures whose consecrated grounds are marked with totem poles carved with images of various birds. These carvings typically depict hunting fowl, with the head of a vulture at the top.
