Role:

Kaichea is the strongest power of chaos amongst the five elder deities and is diametrically opposed to her sister, Chaulatae. She does not understand her sister's narrow vision, and is appalled that Chaulatae enforcers her beliefs upon mortals.

Kaichea is the mother of Olhantam's two sons, Burthaggid and Gadaru, of Vendaneran's daughter Lhuramni, and of Sethanit's daughters Isbri and Ul'ty. When Kaichea bore the children of Vendaneran and Sethanit, the enraged Olhantam cast her from the pantheon. She became known as the Loner because of this expulsion. Common titles for Kaichea are the Loner, Lady of Chaos, and Crimson Lady.

Kaichea usually appears as a young woman with sad eyes, humble attire, and a regal manner. In combat she wears silver chainmail armor and wields twin scimitars. Against her sister, she wields the Moz-Akra, the maw of Shards. Kaichea originally bore a quarterstaff forged from glass, a gift to her from Olhantam. When he cast her from the pantheon, kaichea shattered the quarterstaff, and fusted the thousands of glass shards into three broken rings, forging a unique weapon she named the Maw of Shards. It has since become the symbol by which she is known.

Kaichea's clergy are loners with frequent mood swings, seldom confiding in others and rarely making strong friendships. They follow Kaichea's examples of self-reliance and resourcefulness, typically exhibiting a pronounced detachment from material possessions beyond what they can physically carry.

Large temples to Kaichea are uncommon. Kaichea does not care where or by whom she is worshipped. Her places of worship are found in cities, towns, and in open countryside, but are rarely located underground.
