Role:

Sethanit is the embodiment of wickedness and evil amongst the elder deities. He seeks to destroy goodness in all its forms, and is diametrically opposed to Vendaneran the Wise.

Sethanit has fathered three children. Isbri and Ul'ty are daughters of Kaiches, and Motara is the daughter of Chaulatae. He cares little for them or any other deities. Sethanit most often appears as a giant cobra. He does assume humanoid form, wearing scale mail armor beneath robes, and wielding a spiked chain. Commontitles for Sethanit are Lord of Evil, Master of Carnage, Bringer of Pain, and Scourge of Virtue.

The Lord of Evil has walked upon the world, and spawned dark manifestations to serve him. The greatest are his gorgons: Azarak, Bhelgozmuth, and Volgathis. Through the ages since their creation, Sethanit's apparitions have schemed against, manipulated, and fought the forces of good. Much as their father, the gorgons have spawned their own children to further the powers of darkness throughout the world.

Sethanit's priests maintain tight-fisted control over their flocks, using ignorance as a powerful tool to dominate worshipers. Power comes to those who take it, and only the strongest can hold it. Priests of the Lord of Evil often act as assassins, favoring poisons from venomous reptiles.

Sethanit's holy places are openly displayed in evil lands. They are usually underground and ceremonies often include living sacrifices.
