Wo Xin Shen Chu  (Literal:  Deep In My Heart)

Most time we have been told by those romance movies that  "love conquers all in spite of the time and distance".   I guess the best part I love about this movie is that it shows "a change of heart" can still be a powerful and beautiful love story.

Similar to "Fantasies behind the Pearly Curtain", "Wo Xin Shen Chu" also tells a dilemma of who to choose, your first love or your current husband.   Charlie plays a playboy whose father owns a big shipping company.  Chen Chen is the secretary in this company and Liang Xiushen is Charlie's best friend, a serious and decent fellow, a sailor.  Charlie introduced Chen Chen to Liang, and the two soon fall in love.  Later, the shocking news of Liang's death on a ship wreck bursts out, which makes everyone sad.  Charlie tries to comfort Chen Chen and gradually falls for her.   He proposes and she accepts it.  They only have thirteen days for their honeymoon and then Liang comes back.  He is not dead.  Now Chen Chen is being pushed in a tough situation, in which she has to decide who to choose.  She finally chooses Charlie, who has been improved from a playboy to a committed man.

The most impressive scene in this movie is the beach scene between Charlie and Chen Chen. Charlie thinks Chen Chen is leaving him and gets mad and upset.  Charlie cries and gives Chen Chen a goodbye kiss, which is very touching.  Charlie is always good at those passionate and emotional scenes  Chen Chen also looks lovely in this scene.

This movie has been often memorized by its beautiful soundtracks composed by Liu Jiachang.  I especially like the pure music version of the theme song, which has been played throughout the movie, very moody, melodious and effective.
