Rajasthani Paintings is the style of miniature painting that developed mainly in the independent Hindu sates of Rajasthan in western India in the 16th-19th century. Rajasthani painting combines the exuberance of bringt primary colors with the vigor of strong, bold lines. Early paintings illustrated religious and rhetorical texts such as Bhagavata, Purana, Gita Govinda, Ramayana, Pabuli and Rangamala.
