Websites
Trekiverse: The archive site for Alt.Startrek.Creative newsgroup. It has many stories well worth reading that would slip through your net because their authors don’t have websites. Be warned—there is no discrimination by quality and an overwhelming number of stories. Stories can take a long time to get on the archive. Once place to find recent stories is on Google.com which is home to the ASC Newsgroup. To find them go to Google Groups: Alt.Startrek.Creative and click on “usenet advanced search” at the top. Under “newsgroup” type “alt.startrek.creative,” and then place the title under “subject” and/or the author in the appropriate field.
The ASCEM(L) Page The archive site for the alt.startrek.creative.erotica.moderated newsgroup which is home to the hilarious Getting To Know You portraits of Star Trek characters that range from Kirk and Spock down to a tribble and Mother Horta. Also on this page can be found links to all the winners of the newsgroups awards the Golden O’s..
Archives of the Lost Tomes Gayle Potts writes rather romantic, erotic, and often exotic heterosexual pairings, usually involving Vulcans. She has romantic pieces pairing Kirk, Spock, and McCoy with original fictional female characters.
Claire Gabriel a well-known author of the zine era (her story “Ni Var” was anthologized in New Voyages) this page hosts two S/f novels about Spock and his wife and family that are considered classics, “Simple Gifts” and “Porcelain of Twilight.”
Debbie B Home Page
here you find wonderful stories featuring a tough rather than sappy Christine
Chapel.
Djinn's Lair Amazing writer, my favorite in Trek. Many of her stories feature Chapel in some iteration, not just Spock/Chapel, the most popular TOS Het pairing, but Kirk/Chapel.
Ellen Fremedon Mostly a slash writer, particularly Kirk/Spock with lovely, lyrical and powerful writing.
Fizzbin's Deck of Trek Fun stories, gen and slash.
The Foresmutters Project The Foresmutters’ Project is an ongoing “anarchic effort to put material from the earliest days of slash online.” It has stories that are considered classics from the days of fanzines when “slash” (the pairing of same sex characters) was radical and computers were not common household items.
Greywolf is arguably the most popular of the K/S writers currently active. Many of his K/S stories have won all won “Golden Os” from the ASCEML online community.
Hafital's Smutty Fanfiction Paradise Hafital wrote mostly K/S stories, from charming to simply awesome. But there are some rare pairings here to enjoy as well, even Het.
Island of Hope Islaofhope is a popular author among K/S devotees weaving her tales around a relationship of romantic, wedded bliss.
Istannor, Federation Historian wrote lots of what many call “spackle”—elaborations, expansions, and bridging of the gaps in TOS canon.
Jane St. Clair A wonderful stylist, I’d recommend anything she writes.
Jat Sapphire's website Jat-Sapphire has a vivid and very visual writing voice. Her K/S stories never lose sight of who the characters are and create a believable dynamic for the relationship, and is about the only writer I know who writes good fanfic poetry as well.
Jungle Kitty Jungle Kitty has one of the smoothest and most professional voices in fanfic and a great ear for dialogue. Best of all, for Kirkophiles like me, she writes a dead-on Kirk. She has created a wonderful romantic partner for Kirk, Suzanne Brandt.
Kathleen Dailey's Fanfiction Dailey is one of the few TOS writers that have created a strong, central female character in her novels of the Romulan Commander
Karmen Ghia is an enthusiastic advocate for McCoy/Spock. Besides McCoy, Chekov is her favorite character, and she has paired him with several characters.
Killashandra Killa has one of the most beautiful and distinctive voices in fan fiction. She has written what is my single favorite work of fan fiction—Bitter Glass. It’s one of the very few pieces of fanfic that has ever made me cry. And while you’re visiting her site, be sure to check out T’Jonesy’s hilarious and raunchy K/S romp, “Small Packages.”
Lady Kardasi’s Domain is the home of Best of Both Worlds with links to many K/S stories besides her own that can’t be found elsewhere including on her Recommended Reading page. It includes Animasola’s vivid “da’Niikhirch” based on the profic Black Fire. It’s also home to the Spock Fuh-Q_Fest , the Kirk Fuh-Q Fest and the Chekov-centered Ensign Fuh-Q Fest Note: Parts of this site are now password protected. You must join Lady Kardassi’s Yahoo group and submit an age statement to access those areas.
Laura Jacquez Valentine's website Not Your Grandmother’s Star Trek is another one well worth a visit.
Lyra's Variations She's written quite a few K/S stories, but also some more unusual slash and het pairings to enjoy here. A lovely, lyrical writer.
Macedon’s Taberna Redux By all rights this has no business on a page of TOS links—but hey—it’s my webpage. Seriously, Macedon is every non-VOY Trek writer’s favorite non-TOS writer. All of his stories are worth reading—all of them. Even if like me you’re hopelessly TOS-centric and usually can’t be bothered. Trust me.
Nesabj's TOS Fanfiction Nesabj is a writer with a gift for imaginative plots whose stories center on Kirk.
The Orion Archives of Star Trek - The Original Series contain original general works that “are true-to-aired Star Trek as well as internally consistent with each other.” There are a wealth of fine stories that focus on the entire crew and not just the “big three” spanning their entire careers.
Robin’s Rude Trek Stories is home to Robin Lawrie’s stories--raunchy and fun.
Rob Morris is known for his “Ancient Destroyer” AU Series featuring Peter Kirk and Saavik. His stories often feature crossovers with other series from M*A*S*H to Dragnet.
Roisin's website Most of her stories, including the Intermission series, turn on Spock and she has an ongoing series where she pairs him with T’Rela, an original character.
Saavant’s Mostly Vulcan Fan Fiction Saavant is a writer with a very distinctive voice and point of view well worth knowing
The Scarlet Zone Scarlet writes terrific slash stories, often hilarious, with grace and style.
Sickbay Sweetheart An ongoing fest of Chapel stories that has already produced some gems--and more than just the usual pairing with Spock.
The Society for Slash Diversity hosted by Karmen Ghia (see above) website features a variety of writers.
Spock_N_Christine Home Page This is the homepage for the Spock_N_Christine newsgroup on Onelist featuring several authors.
Spock and Christine Home Page has links to many writing in that genre. Be sure to check out the link to Trek Tales Archive hosting many stories of the zine era including the classic by M.L. “Steve” Barnes “The Price of a Handful of Snowflakes.”
T’Aenali’s TOS Haven T’Aenali’s K/S stories often have a refreshingly whimsical, light touch.
T’Guess’s Den of Iniquity Be warned. A lot of T’Guess’ K/S feature non-consensual sex. But there’s no doubt she’s very gifted.
Trekki's Stories I'm glad Djinn gave space to host these stories--alas only three Trek from her so far. "Blast from the Past" is the stand-out story thus far. Simply the most hilarious Trek work I've ever come across--just the memory of a certain line has the power to reduce me to giggles. Try it. You won't be sorry.
U.S.S. Alliance these stories by J. Winter mostly center on the captain and crew of the U.S.S. Alliance and are set during the TOS era. The captain, T.J. Durant, is an old academy crony of Kirk’s and a former shipmate of Spock’s and some of the stories feature them. Here you can also find the TOS character Helen Noel as one of Durant’s crew. Winter’s website is (I hope) temporarily down. His stories can still be found on Trekiverse.
Ventura33 writes stories in all four Trek series. I loved the stories she’s graced us TOS fans with. Ventura really has a way with getting you into an alien mind space and here the “alien” involved in the story is not Spock or extraterrestrials but a creature of our own planet—the whales. Finally “Not Logical” is a very economically written and affecting glimpse of an encounter between the TNG era Spock and T’Pring.
Wildcat Her works are well-crafted, original, and display an remarkable narrative gift and are about real adults grappling with real moral dilemmas and she gets the voices of all the TOS characters exactly right. In her stories pairing Uhura with Spock, she manages to make him warm and romantic without being maudlin or out of character and you’ll love her Saavik
