RECAP
The 2008 season of Turkey Bowl League Softball kicked off on May 4, 2008 at John Jay High School with an 11-man attendance.  In what Greg Hawe would call a "barnburner", Team Diesel defeated Team Alice 20-15.

There were plenty of home runs to be had for both sides, as Hyman and Beckman each hit 3, Urbanowski and Boniello had 2 each, and adding 1 more to the total was Seibert.

Team Diesel has no shortage of hits today, piling up 27 total, and no one hitter had less than 3.  Leadoff man Chris "Mad Dog" Russo went 6-6 with 4 doubles and a triple, finishing a home run away from the cycle.  Achieving the cycle for the first time in his career was Rich "Diesel" Seibert, who went 5-8 with 6 RBI's.  Cleanup hitter Spencer Beckman drove in 8 runs today, himself finishing a double short of the cycle.

Team Alice was led by leadoff man Jared Boniello, who had perhaps the finest day of his career by going 6-8 with 6 RBI's - 2 doubles, 2 triples and 2 home runs - a single short of the cycle.  Cleanup hitter and 2007 co-Rookie of the Year Josh Hyman picked up 5 RBI's and scored 6 runs, thanks in no small part to his 3 monster home runs.  Rounding out the team was Will Boylan, who was a homer short of the cycle and had 3 RBI's.  The final RBI was picked up by Mike Middleton, who hit the ball hard all day but frequently right to a fielder.
