I always prefer tube radios
because of their superb voice quality, outlined design and nostalgic styles. I
don't like today's post-modern radio or music sets. These ugly and cheap
"plastic" cases can not be real
competitors of those heavy wooden cabinets of high quality tube radios.
I have RCA, Marconi, General Electric, AGA,
Philips, Radiola, Blaupunkt, Hallicrafters, Telefunken, Wundercart,
Siera, Grundig, Körting, radios (and more) in my collection including high
quality communications receivers such
as this one (see the photo below):
A collins R390A/URR. This is a legend
I am proud of this great receiver.
And
I am also collecting postcards, posters, pictures, ads, papers, brochures of old
radios and all the materials
related to them (including spare parts, tubes, transformers, speakers, cabinets,
etc.). Do you want to see some
samples of my collection? If yes, just click here please.
A Philips BX380A radio. A very hard to find
gear which has superb sound quality.
