Love's Rain
The rain falls to me in these dreams
And in prayer alike, but not here;
Under unfortunate shelter
Unknown, but in the Sun's embrace
Here I stand wanting, hoping for;
All but feeling the rain's caress.
Water, keeper of life, a gift
From the Creator whom I love,
Is all but abundant in me.
Wanting always, dehydrated,
Wishing for the clearness of mind,
I wait; for my rain I will wait.
As the Thunder makes the waste land
Tremble with desire (or despair),
So, too, my heart longs for that Voice.
Defeater of evil, in me
Throw Satan's legions to exile
As You did before there was Earth.
Then restrict that waterless lake
Oblivion, and the ghost town
Pandemonium will decay.
Then in me deliver Your rain
And install a love eternal
To match Your Love, Agape.
Then falls the rain to me; my rain;
For me; and for the rain I'll live;
And for the Thunder I'll die
And live again, eternally
With my rain, the Voice, the Sun
And the Creator: forever Love. |
