Nothing in Return
I give myself to you fair reader,
Know that I hold nothing back; if
From my life, my death, my pain, my
Sorrows, pleasures, fruits or failures
Draw you benefit or joyful
Moment, I am then cheerfully
At your service and require
Nothing in return: This, myself,
Is yours to have at your command.
I caution only that if you
Misread my offer and think it
Of mal-intent, then I’ll believe
I’ve failed myself and with vain thoughts
Only my sorrow will be yours.
