The games we play for batted eyes
Our subtle hints and innocent lies:
The names we drop in feeble guile
Like gorgeous eyes and beautiful smile
Then to our friends say, "ooh I want that!"
Its all a game of cat and the rat

So pitiful are the words that we make
The mountains we climb and love we fake
If one were to ask why do such odd things
Would you reply with sappy love strings?
Oh take your fake love and play someone else
Today I don't want these emotional welts
